काँच तो हमारे जीवन का हिस्सा है ही, और साथ ही साथ हमारे अर्थव्यवस्था का भी अहम हिस्सा है। बात यदि डेटा की करे तो भारत प्रत्येक वर्ष 21 मिलियन मीट्रिक टन काँच का उत्पादन करता है और इसके अलग अलग प्रोडक्ट भी बनते हैं। सामान्यतः काँच को रिसायकल किया जा सकता है लेकिन बहुत दुख की बात है कि इसका मात्र 46 प्रतिशत ही रिसायकल हो पाता है। बचे हुए 54 प्रतिशत ऐसे ही प्रकृति को बर्बाद करने में भूमिका निभाते हैं। कुछ कचरों में छूट जाते हैं और जानवरों के भोजन में मिल जाते हैं, वहीं कुछ नदी,झील, नाले आदि में मिल के हमारे पर्यावरण और जल को दूषित कर देते हैं , जो कि चिंतनीय है।
इसी बचे हुए या फेंके हुए काँचो का सदुपयोग कर के एक उदाहरण बन चुकी हैं :- अपर्णा।


अपर्णा ने बीएड की पढ़ाई की है। वो लगभग 4-5 साल से बेकार के बोतलों का इस्तेमाल कर भिन्न भिन्न प्रकार के होम डेकोर प्रोडक्ट्स बना रही हैं। उनके काम बहुत अनोखे और लोगो को आकर्षित करने वाले होते हैं। उनके सारे क्राफ्ट किसी न किसी काँच वाली चीज़ों पर ही होते हैं। इसी क्रम में इन्होंने एक झील की सफाई ही कर दी।
अपर्णा की माँ एक नर्स हैं, और घर को सजाय रखने की काफी ज्यादा शौक़ीन भी। वो भी शुरू से , घर के बेकार चीज़ों को नया रूप देती आ रही हैं। अपर्णा इन सब कामो को देखते हुए बड़ी हुई हैं और कला को भी समझती हैं। उन्होंने बचपन से ही, स्कूल के सारे आर्ट एंड क्राफ्ट वाले प्रतियोगिता में भाग लिया है और जीतते हुए आई हैं। जैसे जैसे बड़ी हुई, उन्होंने टेराकोटा की ज्वेलरी, फैब्रिक पेन्टिंग्स बनाना सीखा, बेकार के चीज़ों को अप्साइकल करना भी शुरू किया।
समय के साथ उनका हुनर और भी ज्यादा चमका। आगे अपर्णा तरह तरह के बोतलों पर designes भी बनाने लगी , और फिर क्या- आर्डर मिलने भी शुरू हो गए। चीज़ों को जब खूबसूरत रूप दिया जाए तो भला कौन खुद को खरीदने से रोकेगा।


वैसे अपर्णा मोंटरोतुरुतु की रहने वाली हैं जो कोल्लम के नज़दीक टूरिस्ट प्लेस है। जब वो पढ़ाई कर रही थीं तो उनका मोंटरोतुरुतु आना जाना होता था। रास्ते या किनारों पर गंदगी उनके ठीक नही लगता था। वो घर लौटते समय कुछ काँच के बोतलों को उठा लाती थीं, फिर उसपर तरह तरह के चित्र बनाती थीं।
वर्ष 2017 से अपर्णा इस काम मे पूरी तरह लग गयी। क्राफ्ट तो उनका अच्छा है ही लेकिन और भी अच्छा कैसे हो, उसपर शोध भी कर रही हैं। उन्हीने ने ये महसूस किया कि, चीज़ों को अप्साइकल कर के पर्यावरण को दूषित होने से बचाया जा सकता है। वो कहती है कि, हमारे देश मे कई झील, नदिया हैं, लेकिन इन्ही सब कचरों से इनका कई हिस्सा दूषित हो चुका है।
उन्होंने सोचा कि क्यों नही इन चीज़ों का सदुपयोग किया जाए और एक पहचान बनाए। साथ ही ये पर्यावरण को भी साफ रखने में मददगार होगा। और लोगो को भी इससे अच्छी सीख मिलेगी की उन्हें कहा कूड़ा फेकना है या कैसे वो उसे इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं।
17 मार्च 2019, को अपर्णा ने फेसबुक पर एक पोस्ट डाला, जिसमे अस्टमुडी झील को साफ करने की बात कही गयी थी। इससे कई लोग अपर्णा के सहयोग के लिए आगे आये और सबने मिलकर झील की सफाई किया। ये कार्य 17 से 21 मार्च तक चला। और इस तिथि के पीछे कारण यह था कि 23 मार्च को जल दिवस मनाया जाता है। सफाई करने के बाद वहां से जितने काँच के बोतल निकले, सब ने मिलकर उसपर डिज़ाइन बनाया और वही रोड पर सभी को बेचा भी गया।
शुरुआत तो इस काम को शौक के लिए किया गया था लेकिन बाद में इसकी अलग ही पहचान बन गयी। अपर्णा ने इस शुरुआत को ‘कुप्पी‘ नाम दिया, को एक मलयालम शब्द है और जिसका अर्थ होता है -बोतल।


यहां काम तो होता ही है साथ ही कई जगहों पर वर्कशॉप भी किया जाता है जिससे जागरूकता फैले।अपर्णा ने बच्चो से लेकर बुढो तक अपने इस विचार को पहुचाया, लोग ऑनलाइन सेशंस भी लेते हैं और डिज़ाइन को अपर्णा तक भेजते भी हैं जिससे उन्हें खूब अच्छा लगता है और वो सफल महसूस करती हैं।
अपर्णा के इस काम से बहुत से लोग प्रेरणा लेते हैं। आज उन्हें कई आर्डर मिलते रहते हैं। इस कार्य से अपर्णा महीने का लगभग 50 हज़ार कमाती हैं। अगर आपके विचार नेक हैं और हाथ मे हुनर है तो किस्मत भी आपका साथ देती है।
अपर्णा ज्यादा से ज्यादा लोगो तक पहुचना चाहती हैं जिससे ये जागरुकता बड़े पैमाने पर फैले और लोग मेटल, काँच या प्लास्टिक की चीज़ों को फेकने से पहले सौ बार सोचे।
अपर्णा का ये भी कहना है कि, कोई त्योहार आने पर हम घरों को सजाने के लिये हज़ारो रुपये खर्च कर देते हैं और त्योहार खत्म होते ही वो फेक देते हैं। जिससे पैसो की भी हानि है और पर्यावरण को भी।


क्यो ना इस मुद्दे को समझकर इस धरती को भी प्रदूषित होने से बचाये और खुद की कला को भी पहचाने। धन्यवाद
