आज के युवा पीढ़ी अपने भविष्य के प्रति बहुत जागरूक हैं।सब की यही इक्छा है कि अच्छी नौकरी मिल जाये तो उनका जीवन सवर जाए ।और वो निश्चिन्त से अपना जीवन यापन कर सकें। बहुत ही ऐसे कम युवा है जो पर्यावरण के बारे में सोचते हैं।
परन्तु आज भी कुछ ऐसे युवा है जिन्हें अपने भविष्य से अधिक चिंता अपने पर्यावरण की हैं। आइये आज आपको ऐसे ही युवा से परिचित कराते हैं।
चंदन सिंह नयाल का परिचय:-
चंदन उत्तराखंड के नाई गांव के रहने वाले है।उनकी आयु 26 वर्ष हैं।परन्तु उनके हौसले अपनी उम्र से बरी है अभी तक वो 40 हज़ार पौधे लगा चुके हैं।
चंदन ने जब देखा कि चीड़ और बुरांश की जंगलो में आग लग रही हैं।और इस कारण से जमीन सुख रही है तो उन्होंने चामा तोक इलाके में बांज का जंगल तैयार करने की सोची
बांज के पेड़ की खासियत:-
बांज की खासियत ये है कि ये भूस्खलन रोकने में मदद करता हैं और जल संरक्षण करने में भी।इसकी एक खासियत ये भी है कि ये जमीन में नमी बनाए रखता है साथ ही साथ अवषधिये पौधों का भी संरक्षण करता हैं।
चंदन ने अपना शरीर भी हल्द्वानी मेडिकल कॉलेज को दान कर दिया हैं।चंदन ने ये निर्णय इसलिए लिया ताकि उनके देहांत पे किसी पेड़ को ना काटना पड़े।इस बात से आप इसका अंदाजा लगा कि चन्दन को पर्यावरण से कितना लगाव हैं।
अकेले ही लगाए 15 हज़ार पौधे:
चंदन ने तोक चामा में बिना किसी के मदद के 15 हज़ार पौधे लगाए हैं।तथा आस पास पौधे लगाने में ग्रामीणों ने चंदन की मदद की हैं।पशुओं के लिए चारा का प्रबंध करने के लिए महिलायों को जंगल जाना पड़ता है जहाँ जंगली जानवरों का डर लगा रहता हैं।परंतु जब अपने गांव में ही जंगल हो तो ये सब समस्याएं खत्म हो जाति हैं।
चंदन जानवरो के बारे में भी उतना ही सोचते है जितना पर्यावरण के बारे में उन्हीने जानवरो के पानी पीने के लिए जंगल मे चाल खाल का भी प्रबंध किया हैं।चाल-खाल का ये भी फायदा है कि इससे पौधों को नमी मिलती हैं।
खेती में भी है दिलचस्पी:-
70 नाली जमीन है चंदन के पास।जिसमे वो आलू,अखरोट और माटा उपजाते हैं।खेती कर के चंदन अपना जीवन यापन अच्छे से कर रहे है परंतु उनको इस बात की चिंता है कि पहाड़ो से पलायन नही रुक रहा हैं।क्योंकि वहाँ रोजगार के अवसर बहुत कम हैं।
पहाड़ो पर अवषधिये पौधे रोजगार का अच्छा जरिया हैं।इसलिए उन्होंने इसका संरक्षण करना शुरू किया हैं।साथ ही साथ चंदन ने रिंगाल और भीमल के पौधे भी लगाए हैं।रिंगाल से आप टोकरियां बना सकते और भीमल से चप्पल।
उनके भीमल के पौधे को 3 साल हो चुके है और 8 साल और लगेगा उन्हें तैयार होने में।परन्तु रिंगाल अब उत्पादन के लिए तैयार हैं।
पौधों का वितरण भी करते है:-
चंदन फलदार पौधे जैसे अमरूद,सेब,अखरोट,निम्बू सहित बांज के पौधे भी वितरण करते हैं।चंदन की नर्सरी भी है जब उनसे कोई मिलने आता है वो उन्हें भेंट में एक पौधा देते हैं।
किसी के जन्मदिन पर भी चंदन पौधे ही देते है उपहार में।साथ ही साथ वो कई स्कूलों में भी जाके बच्चो को पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए जागरुक भी करते हैं।
युवओं पे ही हैं पर्यावरण को बचाने का कार्यभार:-
चंदन का मानना है कि भविष्य में इन्ही युवाओं को पर्यावरण की रक्षा करना हैं।तो अगर हम अभी से इन्हें जागरूक करेंगें तो आगे जाके हमारे पर्यावरण के लिए ही फायदेमंद होगा।और हमे भी पर्यावरण का प्यार मिलेगा।
चंदन अपने चाचा के साथ पढ़ाई करने के लिए रामनगर में रहते थे।उन्होंने लोहाघाट में इंजीनियरिंग में डिप्लोमा किया है साथ ही साथ कुछ समय के लिए रुद्रपुर में बतौर शिक्षक भी काम किया हैं।
अपने जुनून को दिया प्रथमिकता:-
चंदन अगर चाहते तो दिल्ली या किसी शहर जाके आराम से नौकरी कर के आराम से अपना जीवन यापन कर सकते थे परंतु उन्होंने अपने जुनून को प्राथमिकता दी और अपने गांव आके पर्यावरण को संरक्षण करने की सोची।
चंदन का कहना है कि हम सबको पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूक होना चाहिए। पहाड़ो पर पौधरोपण की ज्यादा जरूरत है ताकि पहाड़ो से पलायन को रोक के हम रोजगार के अवसर बना सके। चंदन ने इस और अपना कदम बढ़ाया है अब हमें उनका साथ देने की जरूरत हैं।
