मिट्टी को धूप में सुखाएं

 

पौधे के अच्छे विकास के लिए उसकी मिट्टी का स्वस्थ होना बहुत जरूरी होता है। मिट्टी को धूप लगाने से उसमें मौजूद कीङे खत्म हो जाते हैं। यह कार्य आप पौधे लगाने से पूर्व भी कर सकते हैं लेकिन पौधे लगाने के बाद अगर आपके गमले में लगे पौधे की मिट्टी में कीङें लग गए हैं तो गमले की पूरी मिट्टी को आप निकाल लें और उसे धूप में रख दें। जब मिट्टी अच्छी तरह सूख जाए तो उसे मसलकर भूर-भूरा कर दें और उसके बाद मिट्टी छानने वाली चलनी से उसे छान लें। अब उस मिट्टी को पौधे लगाने के लिए प्रयोग करें।

सफेद कीड़ों से ऐसे करें बचाव

 

यदि आपके गमले में सफेद कीड़े लग गए हैं तो उसे नष्ट करने के लिए आप एस्प्रिन टेबलेट का इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं. 1/4 बाल्टी पानी में दो एस्प्रिन टेबलेट डाल दें, जब टैबलेट पूरी तरह से घुल जाए तो उसे किसी बोतल में भर लें, अब उस लिक्विड को गमले की मिट्टी में छिड़काव कर दें छिङकाव करते समय यह अवश्य ध्यान रखें कि एस्प्रिन टेबलेट का घोल पौधे पर ना जाने पाए।

नीम के पत्तों का प्रयोग

 

गमले के पौधों में पौधों में लगे कीड़ों को नष्ट करने के लिए नीम का पत्ता बेहद कारगर उपाय है। नीम की पत्तियों को सुखा कर उसे पीस लें और उसका पाउडर तैयार कर लें। जब आप कमरे में पौधे लगा रहे होते हैं उसी वक्त यह नीम की पत्तियों से बना पाउडर मिट्टी में मिला दें। यह पाउडर गमले की मिट्टी को कीङों से दूर रखेगा।

विनेगर का प्रयोग

 

अगर आपके गमले की मिट्टी में कीङे लगे हैं तो सबसे पहले उसमें से पौधे को निकाल लें और यह चेक करें कि पौधे की जड़ में कींङे लगे हैं या नहीं, यदि हैं तो पौधे की जड़ को पानी से अच्छी तरह साफ कर लें और यह सुनिश्चित करें कि अब पौधे की जड़ में कीङे ना हों। अब उस पौधे को अलग गमले में अलग मिट्टी के साथ लगा दें। पहले गमले वाली मिट्टी जिसमें कीङें लगे थे अब उस मिट्टी को निकाल कर उसमें 6-7 चम्मच विनेगर छिङक दें और 4-5 घंटे के लिए छोड़ दें। अब वह मिट्टी कीङा मुक्त हो जाएगी जिसके साथ अगर आप चाहें तो पुनः उस पौधे को शिफ्ट कर सकते हैं।

कीङे लगने के कारण पर भी रखें नजर

 

हम कीङे लगने वाले कारण की पहचान कर भी पौधों को कीङों से बचा सकते हैं। जब हम कीङे लगने के कारणों का पता लगा पाएंगे तभी हम उसे खत्म करने का उपाय भी निकाल पाएंगे। बरसात के मौसम में कई बार मिट्टी की ऊपरी सतह पर काई लग जाती है जो कीङे पनपने का प्रमुख कारण होता है। इससे बचाव के लिए लम्बे समय तक बारिश में पौधों को बाहर ना रहने दें। पौधे की मिट्टी को कुछ दिनों के अंतराल पर खुरपे की मदद से खोदते रहें।
