अपने बचपन के बारे में बताते हुए गीतांजलि ने कहा कि वैसे तो उनका परिवार दक्षिण भारतीय तरीके से परिपूर्ण है लेकिन जब भी छुट्टी आती थी तो वह अपने पैतृक घर केरल जाती थी। केरल में ही उन्हें प्रकृति के बहुत करीब आने का मौका मिलता था।वहां पर वह जाती थी पहाड़ों में घूमती थी और फिर पौधों को नजदीक से देखती और समझती थी। वहीं से गीतांजलि को पेड़ पौधों से बहुत ज्यादा प्रेम हुआ और उन्हें कहीं ना कहीं ऐसा लगा था कि भविष्य में वह इसे ही अपना काम बनाएंगे।
अपने जीवन के 12 सालों को उन्होंने रिसर्च इंडस्ट्री में दिया है
वैसे तो गीतांजलि ने विज्ञान से स्नातक की पढ़ाई की है। उसके बाद उन्होंने स्नातक प्रबंधन में एमबीए की डिग्री मिली जो कि बहुत ही सराहनीय है। उसके बाद ही उन्होंने 12 साल तक रिसर्च इंडस्ट्री में काम भी किया है। इसके साथ ही उन्होंने टाटा कंसलटेंसी सर्विसेज के साथ भी अपने विचारों को और अपने समय को साझा किया है। पीसीएस की बात करें तो वहां पर वह ग्लोबल रिलेशनशिप मैनेजर थी और अपने कार्य को बहुत ही समर्पण भाव से कर रही थी।
गीतांजलि बताती हैं कि कंपनी में काम करने से उन्हें बहुत सारे नए नए नजरिए मिले पूर्णविराम उन्हें बहुत कुछ पता चल चुका था बहुत सारे ज्ञान मिल चुके थे कि कैसे वह किसी काम को अच्छे ढंग से कर सकती हैं।
कंपनी से मिले लाभ हानि और बहुत सारी सीखो ने प्रोत्साहन देकर खड़ा किया
गीतांजलि बताती है कि जैसा एक एंटरप्रेन्योर म जो गुण होने चाहिए जैसे कि लाभ हानि के बारे में पता करना या आपको बिजनेस कैसे करना है या आप कुछ चीजों को आसान और छोटा कैसे करना है या बात करें तो की अपने बिजनेस या अपने कारोबार का विस्तार कैसे करना है यह सब कुछ उन्हें समझ आ चुका था।
