पेड़-पौधे पृथ्वी के धरोहर हैं, इनके बिना किसी भी प्राणी का पृथ्वी पर रहना मुश्किल हीं नहीं नामुकिन है। इसी के माध्यम से प्रत्यक्ष या अप्रत्यक्ष रुप से मानव या जीव-जन्तुओं को भोजन भी हासिल होता हैं। आज के समय में लोग पेड़-पौधे लगाने से हिचक रहे हैं, यहां तक कि पूर्व मे लगे पौधों का भी लोग संरक्षण नही दे पाते है, जिसके वजह से दिन-रात पेड़-पौधे की कटाई बढ़ते जा रही है।
आज हम बात करेंगे एक ऐसे पुलिस अधिकारी के बारे में, जो कि नौकरी के दौरान अपने पदस्थापन वाले जगह में काफी पेड़-पौधे (मिनी जंगल) लगाते है।
तो आइए जानते हैं उस शख्स और उसके तकनीक से जुड़े सभी बातों के बारे में-
कौन है वह शख्स ?
हम बात कर रहे हैं आईएएस अधिकारी अभिजीत बांगर (IAS officer Abhijit Bangar) की, जिनकी गिनती महाराष्ट्र (Maharashta) के गिने चुने ईमानदार पुलिस अधिकारी के रुप में होता है। वह पर्यावरण संरक्षण को लेकर काफी मेहनत करते हैं। उनके द्वारा अभी तक इस क्षेत्र में काफी कार्य हुए हैं।
नागपुर को बनाया मिनी जंगल
पुलिस अधिकारी अभिजीत (IAS officer Abhijit Bangar) का कहना है कि उनका यह सपना है कि वह अर्बन फॉरेस्ट बने ताकि शहरों में भी वे पेड़ पौधे लगाकर हरियाली बढ़ा सके और स्वस्थ वातावरण भी हो सके। अर्बन फॉरेस्ट बनाने के लिए ज्यादातर शहरों में जमीन की कमी एक समस्या है। वे मुंबई से पहले वह नागपुर में पोस्टेड थे। वे वहां भी एक डंपयार्ड को मियावाकी जंगल (Miyawaki Forest) में बदलने के लिए एक ऐसा ही प्रोजेक्ट शुरु किए थे।
उन्होंने (IAS officer Abhijit Bangar) इस प्रोजेक्ट को मुंबई के एक गैर सरकारी संगठन ‘ग्रीन यात्रा’ के साथ मिलकर पूरा किया था। इसके जरिए उन्होंने मिनी जंगल लगाने का काम किया था। इसके बाद उन्होंने नवी मुंबई में मियावाकी जंगल विकसित करने के लिए भी उसी एनजीओ के साथ काम करने का फैसला लिया। पहले जहाँ कुछ दिखता तक नही था आज के समय में वहाँ मिनी जंगल लगाने में सफलता हासिल कर चुके हैं।
अब डंपयार्ड को बनाया मिनी जंगल
उन्होने (IAS officer Abhijit Bangar) नवी मुम्बई के डंपयार्ड को भी हरा-भरा करने का जिम्मा उठाया है। इसके लिए इन्होनें 3 एकड़ जमीन एनजीओ के मदद से जंगल लगवा दिया है। उन्होंने 3 एकड़ की पूरी जमीन पर 60,000 पौधे लगावाये थे। पहले चरण में 40,000 पेड़ और दूसरे चरण में 20,000 पौधे लगाए गए। इय तरह अब यह इलाका पुरी तरह से जंगल में तब्दील हो गया है।

जीव-जंतूओं को मिला आसरा
नवी मुंबई के डंपयार्ड में मिनी जंगल बनाने के बाद अब हर तरफ हरियाली नजर आती है। कुमें में फैला मिनी जंगल न केवल लोगों को शुद्ध हवा दे रहा है, बल्कि कई तरह के सांप, तितलियों, पक्षियों सहित कई तरह के जीव-जंतु को आकर्षित भी कर रहा है। उनके द्वारा लगाए गए जंगल में 60 से अधिक पेड़ों की प्रजातियों को शॉर्टलिस्ट किया गया था, जिसमें 17 प्रतिशत छायादार पेड़ लगे थे, कुल पेड़ों में से 43 प्रतिशत साधारण पेड़ और बाकि के 30 प्रतिशत और 10 प्रतिशत में उप-वृक्ष और झाड़ियाँ शामिल थीं। उन्होंने इस जंगल में पेड़ लगाने के लिए आंवला, नींबू, नीम, जामुन, आम, पलाश, सागौन, भारतीय बादाम, काला कत्था और ऐसी कई दूसरी प्रजातियों को चुना था।
