एम.शिवगुरु प्रभाकरन (M. sivaguru Prabhakaran) तमिलनाडु (Tamilnadu) से ताल्लुक रखते हैं। उनके घर की आर्थिक स्थिति बेहद खराब थी और पिता शराब पीते थे। उन्होंने पैसे कमाने के आरा मशीन वाले कारखाने में मजदूरी की। उन्होंने मेहनत मजदूरी कर अपने बहन की शादी के लिए पैसे इकठ्ठे किए और भाई को इंजीनियरिंग भी कराई।

वर्ष 2004 में एम.शिवगुरु प्रभाकरन (M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran) ने तमिलनाडु के D.M. को देखे, तब उन्होंने यह निश्चय किया कि वह भी सिविल सर्विस में जाएंगे लेकिन वित्तिय स्थिति को ध्यान में रखते हुए उन्हें मजदूरी करना पड़ता था।

मां और बहन बेचती थी नारियल के पत्ते

एम.शिवगुरु प्रभाकरन (M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran) की मां और बहन गुजारे के लिए नारियल के पत्ते बेचा करती थी। शिवगुरु चाहते थे कि वह इंजिनियर बने लेकिन उनकी यह ख़्वाहिश पूरी नहीं हो सकी।

प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा तमिल में मिली है

एम.शिवगुरु प्रभाकरन (M. sivaguru Prabhakaran) ने प्रारंभिक शिक्षा तमिल से की है, जिस कारण इंग्लिश बड़ी चुनौती थी। आगे उन्होंने आईआईटी मद्रास के एग्जाम देने का निश्चय किया, तब उनकी मुलाकात एक शिक्षक से हुई। उनके पास उचित आवास ना होने के कारण उन्हें रेलवे स्टेशन पर रहना पड़ता।

मिली सफलता

अब उन्होंने जी-तोड़ मेहनत किया और एम.टेक में टॉपर रहे। उन्होंने कई बार यूपीएससी परीक्षा दी लेकिन असफल रहे। आखिरकार 2014 में उन्होंने यूपीएससी (UPSC) एग्जाम क्रैक कर 101वीं रैंक हासिल किया। अपनी मेहनत के बदौलत एम.शिवगुरु प्रभाकरन (M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran) आईएएस (IAS) ऑफिसर बने।
