पौधे लगाने के दौरान जमा हुए 5,000 किलो प्लास्टिक

इलाके में फैले लो डेंसिटी पॉलीथिन (एलडीपीई) प्लास्टिक की थैलियों को देखकर वे अश्चयचकित रह गए। वन विभाग ने लगभग पांच लाख पौधे लगाए थे, जिसमें सारे पौधे प्लास्टिक की थैली में लिपटा हुआ आया था। अनुपम ने बताया की एक तरफ हम पर्यावरण के लिए काम कर रहे थे और दूसरी तरफ इससे लगभग 5 किलो प्लास्टिक कचरा जमा हो गया था, जिसका उनके पास प्रबंधित करने का कोई वैध तरीका नहीं था।

प्लास्टिक कचरा वर्षों तक पर्यावरण को नुकसान पहुंचाता है

प्रशिक्षु अनुमंडल पदाधिकारी के पद पर पदस्थ अनुपम का कहना है कि अगर इस पर नियंत्रण नहीं किया गया तो प्लास्टिक कचरा प्रदूषित होता है और वर्षों तक पर्यावरण को नुकसान पहुंचाता है। इसके लिए उन्होंने स्थानीय निकाय से संपर्क करने की कोशिश की, लेकिन उन्होंने कचरे को खरीदने से इनकार कर दिया और न ही इसके उपचार के लिए आवश्यक सुविधा थी। ऐसे मे कचरे को जलाने से भी वायु प्रदूषण होने का खतरा था।

प्लास्टिक को कणिकाओं में बदलने वाली इकाई स्थापित किए

प्लास्टिक कचरे से छुटकारा पाने के लिए अनुपम ने प्लास्टिक को कणिकाओं में बदलने वाली एक इकाई स्थापित करने की भी कोशिश की, जो संयुक्त वन प्रबंधन समिति (JFMC) के तहत आने वाले ग्रामीणों को रोजगार के अवसर प्रदान कर सके लेकिन आर्थिक कारणों के वजह से यह असंभव था। शोध करने के बाद वे एक स्क्रैप डीलर के पास गया, जो 12 रुपये प्रति किलो के हिसाब से कचरे को खरीदने और यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए इंदौर और जबलपुर में रीसाइक्लिंग प्लांट तक पहुंचने के लिए सहमत हो गया।

अब अनुपम के सामने सबसे बरा सवाल था कि वह इन पैसों को सामाजिक कार्यों के लिए कैसे इस्तेमाल करे। इसके अलावा उन्होंने अपनी पत्नी भावना और एक ठोस कचरा प्रबंधन विशेषज्ञ से संपर्क किया। अनुपम कहते हैं कि उन्होंने ही ग्रामीणों को लाभ पहुंचाने के लिए पैसे का उपयोग करने के मामले में मेरा मार्गदर्शन किया था। भावना ने एक वृद्धाश्रम में एक बायोगैस संयंत्र स्थापित करने एक तेल प्रेसर मशीन और एक मसाला ग्राइंडर इकाई स्थापित करने का सुझाव दिया।
