बता दें कि, हिमाचल प्रदेश (Himachal Pradesh) से लगभग 92 किलोमीटर दूर मड़ावग गांव में रहने वाले किसानों की स्थिति देश के अन्य जगहों के किसानों से बेहतर हैं। इसका कारण यह है कि, वे अन्य कोई फसल नहीं उगाते हैं वे सिर्फ सेब की खेती करते हैं और इसकी उत्पादन भी अच्छी मात्रा में होती है।

बता दें कि, यहां (Himachal Pradesh) के किसान हर साल 7 लाख पेटी सेब का उत्पादन करते हैं और यही कारण है कि यहां के रहने वाले किसानों की स्थिति बेहतर है।

अगर हिमाचल प्रदेश (Himachal Pradesh) के मड़ावग गांव के किसानों की सालाना कमाई की बात करे तो 70 से 75 लाख रूपये उनकी सालाना आय है। यहां के किसान केवल खेती के जरिए हीं इतना कमा लेते हैं कि उन्हें आगे कोई और काम करने की जरूरत हीं नहीं है।

जानकारी के लिए बता दें कि, हिमाचल प्रदेश (Himachal Pradesh) में सबसे बेस्ट क्वालिटी के सेबों को रॉयल एप्पल, रेड गोल्ड, गेल गाला आदि कहां जाता है।

सबसे पहले 1990 में शुरु हुई थी सेब की खेती

लोगों के अनुसार, साल 1989 में पहले इस गांव में सेब की खेती नहीं होती थी और वर्ष 1990 में एक किसान ने सेब की खेती का एक्सपेरिमेंट किया, जिसमें उन्हे कामयाबी मिली। उसके बाद से हीं यहां के कई लोगों ने सेब की खेती शुरू कर दी और वही प्रचलन अब तक चल रही है।
