हर युवा एक बेहतर और स्थायी करियर चाहता है, जिसमे उसे रुतबा, पैसा सब कुछ मिले। ऐसे में अगर बात विदेश में पढ़ने और वहां अच्छी नौकरी करने की हो तो फिर और क्या चाहिए? ज्यादातर भारतीय युवाओं का यह सपना होता है कि वह विदेश में नौकरी करे, वहीं कुछ ऐसे भी युवा हैं, जिन्होंने विदेश का अच्छा और सेंट करियर छोड़ देश की सेवा करने का फैसला किया।

आज हम एक ऐसी ही युवा हरी चांदना देसारी (Hari Chandna Desiri) की बात करेंगे, जिन्होंने विदेश की नौकरी छोड़ देश की सेवा करने का फैसला किया। वर्तमान में हरी चांदना आईएएस (IAS) का पद संभाल रही हैं। हैदराबाद (Hyderabad) की रहने वाली हरी चांदना के पिता एक प्रशासनिक अधिकारी हैं। उन्होंने बचपन से ही पिता को समाज और देश के लिए अच्छा काम करते हुए देखा।

लंदन से ली एनवायरमेंट इकोनॉमिक्स में MSc. की डिग्री

चांदना बचपन से ही पढ़ने में बहुत अच्छी थी। तेलंगाना और हैदराबाद से शुरूआती पढाई पूरी करने के बाद उन्होंने हैदराबाद के सेंट एन्स कॉलेज से 12वीं पास की और यहीं से स्नातक भी किया और फिर हैदराबाद विश्वविद्यालय से परास्नातक की पढ़ाई पूरी की। आगे की पढ़ाई के लिए चांदना लंदन (London) चली गईं और वहां के स्कूल ऑफ इकोनॉमिक्स से एनवायरमेंट इकोनॉमिक्स से एमएससी (MSc.) की पढ़ाई पूरी की।

पिता से मिली प्रशासनिक अधिकारी बनने की प्रेरणा

जल्द ही हरी चांदना देसारी (Hari Chandna Desiri) की नौकरी विश्व बैंक में लग गई। बैंक के अलावा उन्होंने लंदन में बीपी शेल जैसी कंपनियों में भी काम किया। विदेश में ही उनका करियर सेट था, लेकिन देश के लिए कुछ कर गुजरने का जुनून चांदना को लंदन में स्थिर नहीं होने दिया। वह अपने पिता की तरह एक प्रशासनिक अधिकारी बनना चाहती थी।

नौकरी छोड़ की यूपीएससी की तैयारी

लंदन में रहने के दौरान चांदना को यह अहसास हुआ कि उनकी ज़रूरत विदेशी कंपनियों से ज़्यादा अपने देश को है। बस फिर क्या था चांदना नौकरी छोड़ वापस भारत लौट आई और IAS बनने का सपना लिए यूपीएससी (UPSC) की तैयारी में जुट गईं। पहले प्रयास में असफल होने के बावजूद भी चांदना प्रयास करना नहीं छोड़ी क्योंकि वह जानती थी कि यह कोई सरल परीक्षा नहीं है।

दूसरे प्रयास में पाई सफलता

साल 2010 में चांदना अपने दूसरे हीं प्रयास में यूपीएससी की परीक्षा पास कर ली। रैंक के अनुसार चांदना को आईएएस (IAS) पद नियुक्त हुआ। चांदना का लक्ष्य केवल प्रशासनिक अधिकारी बनना नहीं था बल्कि वह देश के लिए कुछ ऐसा करना चाहती थी, जिससे देश और यहां के लोगों को फायदा हो सके। इसी लक्ष्य के साथ चांदना देश की गंदगी को साफ करने का जिम्मा उठाई।

प्लास्टिक की बोतलों में लगाई पौधे

सफाई के दौरान चांदना की नज़र कचरे में फेंकी जाने वाली पानी की प्लास्टिक बोतलों और कोल्ड ड्रिंक बोतलों पर थी। रिसर्च करने पर पता चला कि इन वेस्ट बोतलों को कहां स्टोर किया जाता है और यह कैसे रिसाइकल होती है? इस दौरान चांदना ग्रीन रेवोलुशन के जरिए प्लास्टिक की बोतलों में पौधे लगवाना शुरू कर दी, जिससे हैदराबाद की सड़कों और 120 पार्कों को कचरे की बोतलों से सजा दिया गया।

गरीब महिलाओं को मिला रोजगार

चांदना वेस्ट मैनेजमेंट की जरिए गरीब महिलाओं को रोजगार मुहिया करवाईं। जिन महिलाओं को पहले अपना गुजारा करने के लिए मजदूरी करना पड़ता था वह अब वेस्ट को रिसायकल कर 12 हजार रुपये कमा रही हैं। एक इंटरव्यू के दौरान हरी चांदना देसारी (Hari Chandna Desiri) कहती हैं कि जब उन्होंने पहली बार जवाहर नगर कूड़ा घर देखा तो उनके मन में यही ख्याल आया था कि अगर इस कूड़े को रीसाइकिल किया जाए तो यह काम आ सकता है।

IAS ऑफिसर हरी चांदना दसारी का देश भक्ति का यह जुनून लाखों युवाओं को प्रेरित करता है।
