आपको बता दें कि, सुरभि  (IAS Surbhi Gautam) ने अपनी पढ़ाई हिंदी मीडियम स्कूल से पूरी की। उन्होंने दसवीं में 93.4% मार्क्स हासिल किया था। सबसे खास बात तो यह है कि, उन्होंने गणित तथा विज्ञान विषयों में 100 में से 100 अंक प्राप्त किया। उस समय उनका नाम मैरिट लिस्ट में शामिल हुआ था। आपको बता दें कि 12वीं में भी उन्होंने अच्छा मार्क्स प्राप्त किया था। जब वह 12वीं में थी तब उन्हें बहुत तेज बुखार आई थी। 15 दिनों तक 15 किलोमीटर दूर डॉक्टर से चेक अप के लिए जाना पड़ता था, जिसके बावजूद भी उन्होंने अपनी पढ़ाई नही छोड़ी।
