हमारे देश की महिलाएं आज हर छेत्र में आगे हैं, चाहे वो देश हो या विदेश, आज हम आपको ऐसी ही महिला की कहानी बताएंगे जिन्होंने विदेश में हमारे देश का नाम रौशन किया है।

मनदीप कौर का परिचय-

मनदीप का जन्म पंजाब के कमालू गांव में हुआ है, उसके बाद वो चंडीगढ़ आ गईं यही से उनकी शादी हुई और बच्चें हुए, उसके बाद वो साल 1996 में ऑस्ट्रेलिया चली गई वहाँ जाकर उन्होंने पढ़ाई की उसके बाद वो न्यूज़ीलैंड आ गईं।

वहाँ पर जाने के बाद अपना आर्थिक खर्च निकालने के लिए उन्होंने उन्होंने पेट्रोल पंप पर काम करना शुरू कर दिया, इसके साथ ही उन्होंने लोगो के घर जाकर समान बेचना भी शुरू कर दिया ताकि आर्थिक रूप से वो मजबूत हो सके, उन्हें इंग्लिश बहुत अच्छी नही आती थी पर उन्होंने हार नही मानी और कोशिश जारी रखी।

टैक्सी भी चलाई-

साल 1999 में उन्होंने टैक्सी चलानी शुरू कर दी, ईस कर्म में वो YMCA के वीमेन होस्टल में रहती थी। एक दिन नाईट शिफ्ट में उनकी मुलाकात के पुलिसकर्मी से हुई जो रिटायर थे और वहाँ रेसेप्सनिस्ट काम करते थे, इस पुलिस कर्मी का नाम जॉन पेग्लर था उनसे मनदीप बहुत प्रभावित हुई और पुलिस में जाने के बारे में सोचा।

पुलिस बनने की ललक जगी-

मनदीप और जॉन का रिश्ता बाप-बेटी जैसा हो गया, जॉन उन्हें बहुत सारे पुलिस की कहानी सुनाते जिससे मनदीप बहुत प्रभावित हुई और उनमें पुलिस बनने की ललक जगी। जॉन और उनके परिवार ने मनदीप की बहुत मदद के उसके बाद उन्होंने अपना 20 किलो वजन कम किया और साल 2004 में पुलिस सेवा जॉइन कर ली, उनकी नियुक्ति सीनियर कांस्टेबल के रूप में हुई थीं, वर्तमान में वो सार्जेंट बन चुकी है आपको बता दे कि इस पद पर पहुँचने वाली वो पहली भारतीय महिला है।

मनदीप कौर ने विदेश में हमारे देश का नाम रौशन किया इसके लिए हम उनकी सराहना करते है इसके साथ ही उन्हें ढ़ेर सारी शुभकामनाएं भी देते है।
