आज अधिकतर लोग ऐसे है जिन्हें सिर्फ अपनेआप से मतलब है, वो सिर्फ अपने बारे में सोचते है। परन्तु कुछ लोग आज भी ऐसे है जो खुद से अधिक दूसरे के बारे में सोचते है आज ऐसे ही शख्श के बारे में हम आपको बताएंगे जिन्होंने आज तक 24 लाख से अधिक बच्चो की जान बचाई है।

 

जेम्स हैरिसन का परिचय-

ये बात 1951 की है जब जेम्स सिर्फ 13 साल के थे, और बहुत बीमार थे डॉक्टरो को उनका फेफड़ा निकालना पड़ा, इस वजह से उन्हें 3 महीने तक अस्पताल में रहना पड़ा, परन्तु इनसब में सबसे अच्छी बात ये है कि वो जीवित थे, परन्तु उनके शरीर मे मात्र 13 यूनिट ही खून था किसी अनजान व्यक्ति ने उन्हें खून दिया जिसकी वजह से उ की जान बच पाई। बाद में ये बात जेम्स को उनके पिता ने बताई, जेम्स को इस बात से प्रेरणा मिली और उन्होंने भी ऐसा नेक काम करने की ठानी, पर समस्या ये थी कि ऑस्ट्रेलिया के कानून के हिसाब से आप 18 साल से पहले रक्त दान नही कर सकते है।

जब जेम्स 18 साल के हुए तब उन्होंने ऑस्ट्रेलिया के रक्तदान संस्था “ऑस्ट्रेलियन रेड क्रॉस” में नियमति रक्तदान करने लगे। जिससे उनको अलग तरह की शान्ति प्राप्त होती थी।

लाखो बच्चों की बचाई जान-

साल 1967 तक जेम्स ऐसे ही रक्तदान करते थे जैसे बाकी रक्तदाता करते है, लेकिन 1967 में अमेरिका में ऐसी बीमारी आयी जो उस समय डॉक्टरों को भी समझ नही आ रही थी, इस वजह से लगातार वहां की महिलाओं का गर्भपात हो रहा था, प्रसव के बाद बच्चे अपनी जान गवा देते थे, या जो बच्चे जन्म लेते थे उनमें दिमाग की बीमारियां पाई जाती थी। डॉक्टरो को इस समस्या का समाधान मिल नही पा रहा था।

बाद में डॉक्टरों ने इस बीमारी को समझते हुए ये पाया कि, जब गर्भवती महिलाओं का ब्लड ग्रुप आरएच पॉजिटिव और बच्चे का ब्लड ग्रुप आरएच नेगेटिव होता है जो उसे उसके पिता से मिलता है तब ये समस्या उत्पन्न होती है।

इस समस्या का समाधान था एन्टी डी इंजेक्शन, वहां के डॉक्टरों ने इसकी खोज शुरू कर दी की ऐसा कौन सा शख्श होगा जिसके प्लाज़्मा में ऐसा एन्टी बॉडी हो जिससे कि एन्टी डी बनाया जा सके। इसी खोज के दौरान डॉक्टरों के सामने ऐसा ब्लड सैंपल आया जिसमे एन्टी बॉडी मिल गया, वो सैंपल जेम्स हैरिसन का था।

डॉक्टरों ने जेम्स से संपर्क किया, जेम्स तो पहले से तय कर चुके थे कि वो नियमित रक्तदान करेंगे तो ना कहने का तो सवाल ही पैदा नही होता है, उस समय इस बीमारी की वजह से अमेरिका में साल में हज़ारों बच्चो की जान जा रही थी।

लाखों परिवार के लिए बने मसीहा-

साल 1967 में जेम्स के खून में पाए जाने वाले एन्टी बॉडी से बना एन्टी डी पहली गर्भवती महिला को लगाया गया रॉयल प्रिंस अल्फ्रेड अस्पताल में दिया गया। तब से अब तक जेम्स लगातार रक्तदान करते आ रहे है, जेम्स की उम्र अब 84 वर्ष की हो चुकी है, 11 मई 2018 को उन्होंने 1173वें रक्तदान के रूप में अपने जीवन का अंतिम रक्तदान किया था। क्योंकि अब रक्तदान करना उनके सेहत के लिए सही नही है इसलिए अब उन्हें रिटायर कर दिया गया है।

रेड क्रॉस ब्लड सर्विस के मुताबिक जेम्स के खून से बने एन्टी डी ने 24 लाख से अधिक बच्चों की जान बचाई है, जेम्स 1964 से लगातार हर हफ्ते 800 एमएल खून डोनेट कर रहे है, 1967 से अभी तक 30 लाख से भी अधिक एन्टी डी जरूरतमंद महिलाओं को दिए जा चुके है। जेम्स की अपनी बेटी को भी ये इंजेक्शन दिया गया था।

इस नेक काम के लिए उन्हें ऑस्ट्रेलिया के सम्मान मेडल ऑफ द ऑनर ऑफ ऑस्ट्रेलिया से भी सम्मानित किया जा चुका है। इसके साथ ही उनका नाम गिनीज बुक ऑफ वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड में भी दर्ज किया गया है। जेम्स को ” द मैन विद दी गोल्डन आर्म” भी कहा जाता है क्योंकि उनके हाथ पे हज़ारों निडल्स के दाग है, जेम्स चाहते है कि उनका रिकॉर्ड जल्द ही कोई और तोड़े ताकि ये मुहिम ऐसे ही आगे बढ़ते रहे।
