वैज्ञानिक हमेशा से ही हमारे सौरमंडल में मौजूद कई हजारों ग्रहों की खोज करने में लगे रहते हैं। बीते कई वर्षों में खगोलविदों ने आकाशगंगा में ऐसे ग्रहों की खोज की है जो मानव सोच से भी परे है। जी हां, खगोलविदों ने ऐसे ग्रह की खोज की है जहां पर कांच और गर्म लोहे की भयंकर बारिश हो रही है।

होती है कांच की बारिश

हमारे सौरमंडल से 64 प्रकाश वर्ष दूर Constellation Vulpecula में एक ऐसा ग्रह मौजूद है, जहां लिक्विड नहीं कांच की बारिश होती है। यह सुनने में थोड़ा अजीब है परंतु HD 189733 b नाम के इस एक्सोप्लैनेट में पिघले हुए कांच की बारिश होती है। जानकारी के लिए बता दें कि 5 अक्टूबर 2005 में इस ग्रह की खोज हुई थी।

चमकीले नीले रंग का यह ग्रह वास्तव में हॉट जुपिटर प्लैनेट है, जिसका औसत तापमान 1000 डिग्री सेल्सियस से भी अधिक है। यह 150 मीटर प्रति सेकंड से भी तेज रफ्तार से अपने तारे की परिक्रमा करता है।

इस ग्रह के वायुमंडल में जलवाष्प, मिथेन, नेचुरल ऑक्सीजन, कार्बन मोनोऑक्साइड जैसे जैविक मिश्रण मौजूद हैं, जो लगभग 8,700 km/h की रफ्तार से बहने वाली जानलेवा हवाएं उत्पन्न करते हैं। इसके अलावा इसके वायुमंडल में मौजूद मैग्नीशियम सिलिकेट के कण बहुत तेजी से पिघलने लगते हैं और कांच की बारिश करने लगते हैं। नीचे आकर ठंडे होने के बाद ये कठोर कांच में परिवर्तित होकर तेज हवाओं के साथ बहने लगते हैं। ऐसा होने के कारण यह ग्रह अपने आस-पास आनेवाली किसी भी चीज को पल भर में नष्ट कर सकते हैं।

इस ग्रह पर होती हैं गर्म लोहे की भयंकर बारिश

 

हमारे सौरमंडल से 640 प्रकाश वर्ष दूर Constellation Pisces में Wasp-76 b नाम का एक अल्ट्राहॉट जुपिटर ग्रह मौजूद है, जहां गर्म लोहे की बारिश होती है। अपने मूल तारे की बेहद तेजी से परिक्रमा करने वाले इस ग्रह की खोज वर्ष 2013 में हुई थी। अपने मूल तारे से बेहद नजदीक होने के कारण इसका वायुमंडल एक जैसा नहीं रहता है। इसका एक हिस्सा हमेशा सूर्य की ओर और एक हिस्सा अंधकार में रहता है। दिन में इस ग्रह का औसत तापमान 25,00डिग्री सेल्सियस रहता है, वहीं रात में यह 15,00 डिग्री तक चला जाता है। यह तापमान किसी भी धातु को बहुत आसानी से भाप में बदल सकता है।

इस ग्रह पर भारी मात्रा में लोहा मौजूद है, जिसे इस ग्रह की तेज रफ्तार और तापमान लोहे के कणों को पूरी तरह अणुओं में परिवर्तित कर देते हैं।जब यह ग्रह चक्कर लगाते हैं तो सामने के भाग में बहने वाली गर्म हवाएं लोहे के कणों को वाष्प में बदलकर दूसरी ओर भेजने लगते हैं। दूसरी तरफ जाते ही यह धीरे-धीरे बादल बनने लगते हैं। इन बादलों में आयरन हाइड्राइट और आयरन सल्फाइड मौजूद रहते हैं जो रात में बारिश के माध्यम से नीचे गिरते हैं। यह बारिश 18,000 km/h की रफ्तार से होती है। लोहे की बारिश इस ग्रह के पिछले हिस्से में ही होती है। हालांकि अभी तक खोजे गए एक्सोप्लैनेट्स में से Wasp-76 b का मौसम ही बेहद अलग है।
