बिसलेरी (Bisleri) का नाम सुनते ही हमारे दिमाग में भरोसेमंद और शुद्ध पानी याद आता है। अपने घरों की शुद्ध पानी के अलावा एक बिसलेरी का पानी ही है, जिसे लोग कही भी और कभी भी पीने के लिए उपयोग करने में झिझकते नहीं हैं। बिसलेरी भारत के नम्बर 1 ब्रांड में से एक है। आज हम आपको बताएंगे कि बिसलेरी मिनलर वाटर की शुरुआत कैसे हुई?

कब हुई बिसलेरी की स्थापना?

सबसे पहले बिसलेरी (bisleri) की स्थापना इटैलियन बिजनेसमैन Felice Bisleri ने मिलानो (Milan) में की थी। Felice Bisleri की मौत वर्ष 1921 में हो गई। उसके बाद डॉक्टर रोजिज इस कम्पनी के मालिक बने। शुरुआत में बिसलेरी मलेरिया के इलाज के लिए दवा बनाने वाली कंपनी थी और उस वक्त इसकी एक ब्रांच मुंबई में भी हुआ करती थी।

डॉ. रोजिज़ चाहते थे कुछ अलग करना

भारत के जाने माने बिज़नेसमैन खुसरू संतुक (Khusaru Santuk) के पिता बिसलेरी कंपनी के लीगल सलाहकार थे और साथ ही डॉ. रोजिज़ (Doctor Rojij) के अच्छे मित्र भी थे। डॉ. रोजिज़ ने देश में बढ़ रही व्यापार मांग को देखते हुए दूसरो से कुछ अलग करना चाहते थे। वे सोच रहे थे कि तभी उनके मन में बिसलेरी बिजनेस को भारत में भी शुरू करने का विचार आया।

भारत में शुरु हुआ बिसलेरी का बिजनेस

भारत में बिसलेरी बिजनेस को शूरू करने के लिए डॉक्टर रोजिज ने खुसरु संतुक को भी राजी कर लिया। साल 1965 में खुसरू संतुक ने मुंबई के ठाणे क्षेत्र में बिसलेरी वाटर प्लांट स्थापित किया। डॉक्टर रोजिज भारत के पहले ब्रांडेड पानी बेचने का फॉर्मूला लेकर आए थे और पानी उत्पादन का कार्य खुसरु संतुक ने किया था।

लोगों ने कहा था पागल

बिसलेरी वाटर प्लांट की जब स्थापना भारत में की गई थी तब खुसरू सन्तुक को लोग पागल कहते थे। ऐसा लोग इसलिए कहते थे क्योंकि भारत में जब इस कम्पनी की शुरुआत हुई तब एक रूपए की भी कीमत होती थी और एक रूपए देकर भी पानी खरीदने वाले बहुत कम ही लोग थे।

मुंबई में पानी का बिजनेस शुरू करने के पीछे रहा कारण

बिसलेरी वाटर प्लांट को मुंबई में स्थापित करने के पीछे भी कारण था कि उस समय वहां का पानी पीने लायक नहीं हुआ करता था, जिसकी वजह से डॉक्टर रोजिज ने यह विचार किया कि यहां पानी का बिजनेस अच्छा खासा चलेगा।

बिकने लगा महंगे रेस्टोरेंट और five star hotels में

शुरुआती दिनों में बिसलेरी की दो प्रोडक्ट मार्केट में उपल्ब्ध थी एक बिसलेरी वाटर (Bisleri water) और दूसरा बिसलेरी सोडा (Bisaleri soda). इन दोनों प्रोडक्ट की सप्लाई केवल महंगे रेस्टोरेंट और five star hotels में ही होता था। यह धीरे-धीरे आम जनता को भी मिलने लगी। हालांकि बिसलेरी वाटर से अधिक लोग बिसलेरी सोडा खरीदते थे, जिसके कारण खुसरू संतुक ने सोचा कि अब इन ब्रांड्स को आगे नहीं चलाएंगे।

असफलता के कारण बेचनी पड़ी कम्पनी

खुसरू संतुक को जब लगा कि वे अपने बिजनेस में असफल हो रहे हैं, तो उन्होंने कम्पनी को बेचने का विचार किया। इस बात की जानकारी जब पार्ले कम्पनी के चौहान ब्रदर्स को मिली तब उसी समय रमेश चौहान ने वर्ष 1969 में बिसलेरी कंपनी को 4 लाख रुपए में खरीद लिया। बिसलेरी को जब चौहान ब्रदर्स ने खरीदा था तब पुरे देश भर में इसके मात्र 5 स्टोर ही था, जिसमें से मुंबई में चार और कोलकाता में एक था।

लॉन्च किया बबली और स्टिल

रमेश चौहान (Ramesh Chauhan) ने साल 1970 में बिसलेरी (india) लिमिटेड के पानी के और दो ब्रांड बबली और स्टिल लॉन्च किया और साथ ही साथ बिसलेरी सोडा भी। पार्ले ग्रुप ने कई वर्षो तक इसे बिसलेरी के नाम से ही बेचा गया। आगे चल कर कंपनी ने सॉफ्ट ड्रिंक भी लॉन्च किया जो कांच की बोतलों में बेचे जाते थे, जिसे पीने के बाद बॉटल वापस लौटना होता था।

कई सार्वजनिक जगहों पर बेचना शुरू किए

कुछ दिनों बाद पार्ले कम्पनी ने भारत के सार्वजनिक जगहों जैसे बस स्टेशन, रेलवे स्टेशन, सड़क किनारे और ढाबे आदि जगहों पर लोगों के लिए बिसलेरी वाटर को डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर करवाया। इससे लोग को गंदे पानी पीने से छुटकारा मिला। कंपनी ने अपनी ब्रांड प्रमोशन और पैकिंग में अलग-अलग बदलाव किए। धीरे-धीरे बाजार में बिसलेरी वाटर काफी लोकप्रिय हो गया।

बिसलेरी ने नहीं मानी हार

वर्ष 1970 से लेकर 1999 तक बिसलेरी ने भारतीय बाजार में अपनी एक अलग ही पहचान बना चुकी थी। इसी दौरान वर्ष 2000 में बेली एक्वाफीना और किनले कंपनियों ने भी स्वच्छ पानी के दावे करते हुए मार्केट में अपनी ब्रांड लाई। यह वह समय था जब बिसलेरी के लिए चुनौती बन गया था पर वह कहते है न कि मन में अगर ठान लें आपको आगे बढ़ने से कोई नहीं रोक सकता हैं। बिसलेरी ने भी बॉटल के साइज में परिवर्तन किया और अलग अलग साइज के पैकेज मार्केट में लॉन्च किए और अपने विज्ञापन में भी थोड़ा बहुत बदलाव किए। आगे चल के बिसलेरी और भी ज्यादा आगे बढ़ी है।

दुनिया में लहराया सफलता का परचम

वर्ष 2003 में यूरोप में भी बिसलेरी ने अपने बिजनेस का ऐलान किया था। फिलहाल भारत में बिसलेरी बोतलबंद पेयजल में करीब 60% तक बाजार में हिस्सेदारी है। इतना ही नहीं आज इनके 135 प्लांट्स के सहारे रोज क़रीब 2 करोड़ लीटर पानी बेची जाती हैं और 5000 से भी अधिक डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर ट्रकों के साथ ही 3500 डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर्स के सहारे साढ़े तीन लाख रिटेल आउटलेट्स तक पहुंचाया जा रहा है।

यह जानकारी भी है जरूरी

रमेश चौहान (Ramesh Chauhan) ने अमेरिका के मैसाचुसेट्स इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ़
टेक्नोलॉजी’ (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) से इंजीनियरिंग व बिज़नेस मैनेजमेंट की पढ़ाई की है। अपनी सफलता का परचम पूरी दुनिया में लहराने वाले 76 वर्षीय रमेश चौहान ने पिछले 50 वर्षों से सॉफ़्ट ड्रिंक और मिनरल वॉटर व्यवसाय में सक्रिय रूप से ‘बिसलेरी इंटरनेशनल’ के चेयरमैन के रुप में कार्यरत हैं।
