नहीं होती है ट्रेन की पटरियां साधारण
ट्रेन की पटरी देखने मे बहुत साधारण होती है लेकिन वास्तव में वह उतनी साधारण नहीं होती है। ट्रेन की पटरी को बिछाने से पहले दो भिन्न-भिन्न प्रकार के मिट्टी को डाला जाता है। उसके ऊपर ब्लास्ट यानी गिट्टी या पत्थर और फिर उसके ऊपर का कंक्रीट से बनी प्लेट्स को बिछाया जाता है, जिसे स्लीपर कहा जाता है। उसके बाद आखिर में ट्रेन की पटरी को विज्ञान और विशेष तकनीक की सहायता से बिछाया जाता है।
ट्रेन का वजन सम्भालने के लिए बिछाए जाते हैं कंक्रीट के प्लेट्स और पत्थर
आपको यह जानकर बेहद आश्चर्य होगा कि ट्रेन का वजन लगभग 10 लाख किलो होता है, जिसे केवल पटरियां नहीं झेल सकती है। यही वजह है कि रेल के वजन को सम्भालने के लिए ट्रेन की पटरियों के साथ-साथ कंक्रीट की प्लेट्स और पत्थर बिछाए जाते है। रेल का सबसे अधिक भार इन बिछाए गए पत्थरों पर ही पड़ता है और यही कारण है कि कंक्रीट से बनी प्लेट्स अपने स्थान पर स्थिर रहती है। इन्हीं कारणों से ट्रेन की पटरियों पर पत्थर बिछाए जाते हैं।
पटरियों पर बिछाए जानेवाला गिट्टियों की क्या है विशेषता?
ट्रेन की पटरियों पर बिछाई जानेवाली गिट्टी भी बेहद खास होती है। इन गिट्टियों की विशेषता यह होती है कि नुकीली होती हैं जिसके वजह से इनकी पकड़ मजबूत होती है। यदि पटरियों पर गोल पत्थर को बिछाए जाया तो पटरियों को सरकने का खतरा होता है।
क्यों बिछाए जाते हैं पटरियों पर पत्थर?
वहीं जब ट्रेन की रफ्तार अधिक होती है तो पटरियों में कंपन होने लगता है और साथ ही उन्हें फैलने का खतरा भी बढ जाता है। इसी कंपन और पटरियों के फैलने के जोखिम को कम करने के लिए पटरियों पर पत्थर बिछाए जाते हैं।
पटरियों पर बिछाए गए पत्थर कंक्रीट से बनी प्लेट्स को अपने स्थान पर स्थिर रखने में मदद करता है। पत्थर स्लीपर को रेल के भार को सम्भालने में भी मदद करते हैं।
इसके अलावा पटरियों पर बिछाई गई गिट्टियां पटरियोंं में जल भराव को कम करने में भी मददगार होती है। बारिश का पानी गिट्टियों के माध्यम से धरती के अंदर चला जाता है और इस बहाव में बड़े पत्थर नहीं बहते हैं।
