केरल में पथानामथिटा जिला है अरनमुला इस जिले का एक छोटा सा गाँव हैं। अरणमुला शहर का ऐतिहासिक और सांस्कृतिक दोनो महत्व हैं। परन्तु जैसे कि हम सब जानते है कि covid-19 से पूरी दुनिया परेशान है । वही अरणमुला lockdown के दौरान किसी और कारण से चर्चा में रहा और वह हैं खूबसूरत गेंदा के फूल की खेती।
अगर कभी आपको मौका मिले तो जरूर अरणमुला जाइये वह आप देखेंगे कि एक एकड़ जमीन फूलों की खेती से भरी है। और सारे खेतो में सिर्फ गेंदे के फूल खिले हैं जो आपके मन को मोह लेती हैं।
इस महामारी में जब सब लोग अपनी जान बचाने में जुटे थे तो यह सोचने वाला प्रशन हैं कि इन सुंदर मन मोहने वाले फूलों की खेती कैसे हुई।
तो यहाँ यह कहावत सटीक बैठती है कि “मन के हारे हार है और मन के जीते जीत” जब सारी दुनिया महामारी की वजह से अपने -अपने घरों में बंद थीं तो पूर्व इंजिनीयर कृष्णन नायर ने एक अहम कदम उठाया।
कौन हैं कृष्णन नायर-
कृष्णन 72 वर्षिय योद्धा हैं।उन्होंने इस lockdown का सदुपयोग करते हुए फूलों की खेती करने का निर्णय लिया। केरल आने से पहले कृष्णन नायर तीन दश्क तक तेल रिफाइनरी में लीबिया तथा उतरी अफ्रीका में काम किया करते थे।2004 में उन्होंने केरल लौटने का मन बनाया।
NRI से फूल के खेती तक का सफर-
नायर का कहना है,”काम की वजह से उनके जीवन का अधिकतर हिस्सा NRI बन के ही बीता हैं। जब 2004 में मैंने अपने देश वापस आया तो मेरे पास पूरा वक़्त था उन चीज़ों को करने के लिए जो मेरा पैशन था पर काम की वजह से नही कर पाया”।
आगे नायर बताते है,”जब मैं वापस आ रहा था लीबिया से रिटायर होके ।तब एक निवेशक बन के काम करने लगा परन्तु किस्मत ने कुछ और ही सोचा था मेरे लिए।क्योंकि जब lockdown हुआ तो सब बंद हो गया फिर मैन कुछ अलग करने का सोचा मेरे पास एक एकड़ जमीन हैं तो मैंने सोचा इसी में कुछ किया जाए”।
आगे वह बताते है,”मेरी जमीन जो मेरे घर मे बगल में है वह खाली थी परंतु कई सालों से उसमे खेती नही हुए थी इसलिए सारी जमीन बंजर हो गयी थी।क्योंकि नायर को ना ही खेती करनी आती थी ना ही उन्हें अपने काम की वजह से इसके लिए कभी वक़्त मिला कि वह खेती कर पाए।
गेंदे के फूल की खेती को बनाया नया आधार
जब सारे देश मे LOCKDOWN था तो हर जगह यातायात बंद हो चुका था इसका परिणाम यह हुआ कि गेंदा के फूल केरल नही पहुँच पा रहे थे।क्योंकि ट्रक और सारे यातायात के साधन बंद हो चुके थे।और यही वजह है कि केरल के बाजार में जो गेंदा के फूलो की खपत होती थी उनमे गिरावट आ गई।
इसी को देखते हुए कृष्णन नायर ने गेंदे के फूल की खेती करने का निर्णय लिया अपनी बंजर जमीन में ।नायर बताते है,” मेरे पास पर्याप्त समय और साधन थे इस वजह से गेंदे के फूलों की खेती करने के बारे में सोचा म्युकि फूलों का बाजार भी खुला था।
1000 पौधों के साथ शुरू किया ये सफर-
बेंगलूर के पास होसुर है जहाँ उनके एक दोस्त रहते है उन्होंने उनसे संपर्क किया और 1000 के आस पास पौधे खरीदे। खेती करने से पहले उन्होने इसके बारे में पर्याप्त जानकारी तथा सलाह भी ली।
नायर बताते है,” की लोग यह सोचते है कि यहाँ गेंदे की फूल की खेती नही हो सकती परंतु यह उनका भ्रम हैं”
बल्कि उनका मानना तो यह है कि गेंदे की फूल की खेती करना बहुत ही आसान है यही सोच कर नायर ने यह निर्णय लिया ।वह बताते हैं,”सबसे पहले तो मैन JCB लाया ताकि खेत और मिट्टी को खेती के लायक बनाया जेर फिर मैंने खेत मे कैल्शियम पाउडर और जैविक उर्वरको को भी डाला ताकि खेतों को पोषक तत्व मिल सके क्योंकि जमीन पथरीली थी तो यह सब करना जरूरी था उसके बाद आसानी से मैन पोधों को रोप दिया”।
खेती के लिए चुना, जैविक पद्धत्ति का रास्ता
उन्होंने किसी केमिकल का उपयोग नही किया बल्कि जैविक उर्वरको का ही उप्योग किया क्योंकि गेंदा बहुत ही सवेंदनशील और छोटा फूल हैं ऐसा ना हो कि केमिकल के उपयोग से इसके विकाश पर कोई प्रभाव परे।
यह उनकी करि मेहनत का ही नतीजा था कि एक महीने के अंदर ही उनका खेत खुश्बूदार और ताज़े फूलो से लहलहाने लगा।
उनका कहना है कि,” वह खुद ही अचंभित थे कि इतनी तेजी से फूल खिल रहे है उन्हें यकीन ही नही था कि जो जोखम उन्होंने उठाया है वह उनके पक्ष में साबित होगा इससे वह बहुत ही प्रसन्न थे।
महीनों के अंदर होने लगी 35000 तक कि कमाई
अब क्या था कुछ महीनों में पथानामथिटृ और कोझेचेरी के फूल विक्रेता हर दिन फूल खरीदने आने लगे और नायर कहते है खेत से अब हर दिन 15 से 20 किलोग्राम गेंदे के फूल खिलते है और जब वह उन्हें बेचते है यो उन्हें लगभग 35000 रुपये की कमाई होती हैं।
नायर बताते है मैन ये सोच के ये शुरु नही किया था कि मुझे मुनाफा होगा मैन तो सिर्फ lockdown में कुछ अलग सोच कर करना शुयू किया था परंतु यह तो मेरा बिज़नेस बन गया । नायर इस फैसले से बहुत लोग उनसे प्रभावित हुए और नायर उनके प्रेरणा स्रोत बने और उनसे प्रभावित हो कर बहुत लोगो ने खेती करना शुरू किया।
समय देने से सभी मुश्किलों का हल मिल जाता है-
नायर का कहना है कोई भी काम आसान हो सकता है बशर्ते कि उसमें आप अपना पर्याप्त समय दे और कड़ी मेहनत करे टब सफलता आपके कदम चूमेंगी और आप अच्छा मुनाफा कमा सकते हैं।
बेटियां भी देती हैं पूरा साथ-
नायर की दोनो बेटियां विदेश में है पर पत्नी उनकी मदद करती है आगे वह बताते है कि फूल की खेती में पानी कि आवश्यकता नही होती परंतु फूलो को नियमित पानी देनी चाहिए। हर काम अपने आप मे मुश्किल है फूलों को तोड़ने में कम से कम ड़ेढ घंटे का समय लगता है जिसमे थकान होती है। परंतु जब फूल जड़ से मजबूत हो जाते है तो थोड़ी मेहनत कम परती है।
कीड़े काम लगने की वजह से चुना गेंदे की खेती का रास्ता
नायर का कहना है,”मैन गेंदे के फूल इसलिए चुना क्योंकि इसकी एक अछि बात यह है कि इसमें ज्यादा कीड़े नही लगते। अगर हफ्ते में एक बार भी आप जैविक उर्वरको का छिड़काव करते है तो फूल स्वस्थ और सुंदर रहते हैं।उनका कहना है कि वह किसानों को उत्साहित करना चाहते थे कि उनसे प्रभावित हो कर किसान मुनाफा कमा सके और इस महामारी के समय मे अच्छे से अपना जीवनयापन कर सकें।
