लगभग हर भारतीय घर में आलू का इस्तेमाल किए खाना पूरा नहीं हो सकता है। आमतौर पर हर दूसरी सब्जी में आलू का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। वहीं आलू पराठा तो लगभग सभी का पसंदीदा भोज्य पदार्थ है। आलू का अधिक से अधिक इस्तेमाल होने के बावजूद भी सभी को आलू खरीदने के लिए मार्केट जाने की जरुरत पड़ती है। लेकिन कुछ लोग ऐसे भी हैं जो गार्डनिंग का शौक रखते हैं और आलू को बाजार से न खरीदकर घर ही उगाए आलू का सेवन करें। यदि आप भी आलू घर पर गमले में आलू उगाना चाहते हैं तो यह लेख आपकी बहुत मदद करेगा।

ऐसे करें मिट्टी तैयार
बीज (Seeds) खरीदने के बाद जरूरी है कि आप वीर्य पौधे लगाने के लिए मिट्टी को अच्छी तरह से तैयार करें। इसके लिए सबसे पहले मिट्टी में एक से दो मग खाद डालकर अच्छी तरह मिला लें। अब मिक्स किए गए मिट्टी को गमले में डालकर एक बार फिर अच्छे से खुरेंच दें और कुछ देर के लिए धूप में सुखने के लिए रख दें। इधर आप आलू को दो बराबर हिस्सों में काट लें। अब कटे हुए आलू को 2-3 इंच मिट्टी के अंदर डालकर ऊपर से मिट्टी चढ़ा दे। ध्यान रहें आप बड़े साइज के गमले का ही चयन करें। -Grow Potatoes in pots at home.
कैसा होना चाहिए खाद?
घर पर आलू गाने के लिए खाद का सही होना बहुत आवश्यक है। आलू के लिए रासायनिक खाद का इस्तेमाल करने से बचें, क्योंकि इससे फसल खराब होने का डर बना रहता है। अच्छा होगा आप इसके लिए जैविक खाद या कंपोस्ट खाद का इस्तेमाल करें। इसके अलावा आप गाय या भैंस के गोबर का इस्तेमाल भी कर सकते हैं। वहीं किचन में बचे हुए अतिरिक्त खाना को भी खाद के रूप में इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है।
खर-पतवार और सिंचाई का रखें विशेष ध्यान
आलू का बीज लगाते समय पानी का इस्तेमाल नहीं करना चाहिए। आलू के बीज जब अंकुरित हो जाए और लगभग 1-2 इन्च बड़ा हो जाए तो उसमें एक से दो मग पानी डाल सकते हैं। पानी डालने के बाद घर पर बनाए हुए कीटनाशक स्प्रे का भी छिड़काव जरुर करें। आप चाहे तो नीम के पत्ते, तुलसी के पत्ते या बेकिंग सोडा की मदद से तैयार स्प्रे का भी छिड़काव कर सकते हैं। -Grow Potatoes in pots at home.
पौधें में समय के साथ घास-फूस का भी विकास होने लगता है। ऐसे में आप इन खर-पतवार को समय-समय पर निकालते रहें। लगभग 2-3 महीनें में आलू खाने के लिए तैयार हो जाते हैं। हालांकि, इसे खाने से पहले एक से दो बार अच्छे साफ जरुर करें।
