भारत एक कृषि प्रधान देश है। यहां की लगभग 75 प्रतिशत जनसंख्या कृषि पर आधारित है। अलग-अलग क्षेत्रों के हिसाब से यहां तरह-तरह की खेती होती है। ऐसे बात पंजाब की करे तो वहाँ फसलों में गेहूं की प्रधानता है, वहाँ उत्पादित होने वाले गेंहूं देश के साथ हीं साथ दुनिया के कई देशो में भी भेजी जाती है।
आज हम बात करेंगे पंजाब के हीं एक किसान के बारे में, जिसने अपनी पारंपरिक खेती छोड़ मशरुम की खेती करने का मन बनाया तथा इसके लिए उन्होंने काफी संघर्ष भी किया तथा आज के समय में वे “मशरुम किंग” के नाम से मसहूर हो गए हैं।
तो आइए जानते हैं उस किसान और उसके मशरुम के खेती से जुड़ी सभी जानकारियां:-
कौन है वह किसान?
हम बात कर रहे हैं संजीव सिंह (Sanjeev Singh) की, जो मूल रूप से पंजाब (Panjab) के रहने वाले हैं। उनकी उम्र लगभग 54 साल है। वे आज के समय में मशरुम की खेती करते हैं, इसके साथ हीं साथ उन्हें पंजाब में “मशरुम किंग” के नाम से जाना जाता है। वह पंजाब में सबसे पहले मशरुम की खेती करने वाले किसान है, जिसने मात्र 25 साल के उम्र में मशरुम की खेती करने का मन बनाया था।

कैसे आया मशरुम की खेती का ख्याल?
किसान संजीव सिंह (Sanjeev Singh) को मशरुम की खेती करने की प्रेरणा दूरदर्शन पर प्रसारित होने वाले शो “मेरा पिंड मेरा किसान” से मिली। 25 साल की उम्र में जब वह कॉलेज में थे तब खेती-किसानी में दिलचस्पी से ही उन्होंने पंजाब एग्रीकल्चर यूनिवर्सिटी में दाखिला ले लिया था।
शुरु किया मशरुम की खेती
पंजाब कृषि विश्विद्यालय में मशरूम की खेती के हुनर सिखने वाले किसान संजीव सिंह (Sanjeev Singh) ने मशरुम के बारे में काफी जानकारी लिया। जब उन्हें मशरुम से जुड़ी सभी तरह की चीजों का पता चल गया तब उन्होंने मशरूम को बोरियों में लटकाकर उसे उगाने की कवायद की। उन्होंने बताया कि, इस फसल को तैयार करने के लिए मिट्टी की नहीं बल्कि जैविक खाद की जरूरत होती है। उन्होंने पूरे जी-जान लगा कर मशरुम की खेती पर ध्यान दिया। हालांकि शुरुआती दिनों में उन्हें काफी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी, लेकिन धीरे-धीरे उन्हें हर पहलू की जानकारी होते गई और काम में आसानी होने लगी।
8 सालों बाद मिली कामयाबी
जिस समय संजीव सिंह (Sanjeev Singh) ने सबसे पहले पंजाब में मशरुम की खेती की शुरुआत की उस समय उसकी डिमांड ना के बराबर था, जिसके कारण उन्हें मार्केट जमाने में काफी परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ता था। इसके बावजूद भी उन्होंने लगभग आठ सालों तक उच्च गुणवत्ता वाली मशरूम की खेती जारी रखी। साथ-साथ उन्होंने मशरूम का स्थिर बाजार बनाने के लिए भी अपना संघर्ष शुरू किया। उन्हें 8 सालों बाद इस क्षेत्र में कामयाब होती दिखी तब वे पूरी तरह से मशरुम की खेती में लग गए।
अच्छी-खासी हो रही है कमाई
सबसे पहले पंजाब में मशरुम की खेती की शुरुआत करने वाले किसान संजीव सिंह (Sanjeev Singh) ने एक लम्बे अरसे से एक खास प्रयास में लगे रहने के बावजूद मशरुम की खेती में सफल हुए। वे 8 सालों के बाद अब पूरी तरह से मशरुम की खेती में रम चुके हैं। आज के समय में इनको महीने की अच्छी-खासी कमाई हो रही है। एक खास बातचीत के दौरान उन्होंने बताया कि आज के समय में वह इस खेती के बदौलत सालाना 1 करोड़ों से 1.5 करोड तक की कमाई कर रहे हैं।
