भारत का पहाडी क्षेत्र विशेषत: हिमालयी क्षेत्र अपनी प्राकृतिक खुबसूरती से सभी को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करता है। वहीं साथ में कई रहस्यों के लिए भी जाना जाता है। यहां घुमने के साथ-साथ शोध के लिए भी कई देश ही नहीं बल्कि विदेशों से भी शोधकर्ता पहुंचते हैं। इसी कड़ी में हम आपकों हिमाचल प्रदेश के एक ऐसे कुंड के बारे में जानकारी देंगें जिसका पानी बर्फीली ठंड में भी खौलता है। आइए जानते हैं इस रहस्यमयी कुंड के बारे में।
पार्वती घाट पर स्थित है यह रहस्यमयी कुंड
यह रहस्यमयी कुंड हिमाचल प्रदेश (Himachal Pradesh) के कुल्लू जिले में पार्वती नदी के पार्वती घाट पर स्थित गुरुद्वारा मणिकर्ण साहिब में मौजूद है। प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार यह 1760 मीटर की उंचाई पर स्थित है वहीं कुल्लू मुख्य शहर से इसकी दूरी 35 किमी है।
धार्मिक स्थल से जुड़ी पौराणिक कथा
गुरुद्वारे के मणिकर्ण नाम से पीछे भी एक पौराणिक कथा है। कहा जाता है कि इस स्थल पर भगवान शिव और माता पार्वती ने 11 हजार वर्षों तक कठोर तपस्या की थीं। इसके अलावा जलक्रीड़ा के समय माता पार्वती के कान के बाली से एक मणि पानी में गिर गई थी।
शेषनाग के फुंकार भरने से फूटी गर्म पानी की धारा
माता पार्वती के कानों की बाली के मणि गिर जाने के बाद भगवान शिव ने अपने गणों को उसे ढूंढने के आदेश दिया, लेकिन शिष्य इस काम में असफल रहें। इस बात पर क्रोधित होकर भगवान शिव की तीसरी आंख खोली। उसी समय उनके नेत्रों के सामने नैना देवी प्रकट हुई और उन्होंने बताया कि मणि पाताल लोक में शेषनाग के पास है। इस बात की जानकारी मिलते ही शिष्य शेषनाग के पास से मणि लेकर वापस आ गए। क्रोधित शेषनाग ने जोर से ऐसी फुंकार भरी कि गर्म पानी की एक धारा फुट पड़ी।
निरंतर बहती है गर्म पानी की धारा
इस धार्मिक स्थल से जुड़ी एक मान्यता यह है कि यहां गुरुनानक अपने पांच शिष्यों के साथ पधारे थे। लंगर के लिए उन्होंने एक शिष्य भाई मर्दाना को आटा और दाल के मांग कर लाने को कहा तथा साथ ही एक पत्थर भी लाने के लिए कहा। कहा जाता है कि जैसे ही भाई मर्दाना ने पत्थर उठाई गर्म पानी की धारा बहने लगी। उसी समय से कहा जाता है कि गर्म पानी की धारा लगातार बहती रही और एक कुंड बन गया।
होती है मोक्ष की प्राप्ति
यह स्थल सिखों के साथ-साथ हिन्दूओं के लिए भी एक धार्मिक स्थल है। इस रहस्यमयी कुंड के गर्म जल का उपयोग गुरुद्वारे के लंगर में चावल और चने उबालने के लिए किया जाता है। इसके अलावा यह भी मान्यता है कि इस कुंड में स्नान करने से मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है।
धर्मशाला की है व्यव्स्था
यहां श्रद्धालुओं के रहने के लिए धर्मशाला की सुविधा भी उप्लब्ध है। वहां हिन्दू और सिख दोनों धर्म के लोग रह सकते हैं। हिन्दू धर्म के लोग यहां शिव मंदिर की परिक्रमा करने के साथ ही कुंड में स्नान भी करते हैं।
