अभी तक तो हम लोगों ने एक से एक वीर योद्धावो की कहानी सुनी है। जब भी पड़ोसी देशों तथा दुश्मन देशों से अपने देश के सैनिकों के दो-दो हाथ हुए हैं तब-तब भारतीय सैनिकों ने अपने पराकर्म से उन्हें करारा जवाब दिया है। आज हम बात करेंगे, इन्हीं योद्धाओं में से एक योगेंद्र सिंह यादव (Yogendra Singh Yadav) का, जिन्होंने कारगिल युद्ध के दौरान दुश्मनों के छक्के छुड़ा दिये। अपने वीरता और पराक्रम के बदौलत उन्होंने इतिहास के पन्नों में अपना नाम दर्ज कराया है।

कौन है परमवीर योगेंद्र सिंह यादव?

 

योगेंद्र सिंह यादव (Yogendra Singh Yadav) उत्तर प्रदेश (Uttar Pradesh) के बुलंदशहर के गांव औरंगाबाद के रहने वाले हैं। उनका जन्म 10 मई 1980 को हुआ था। उनके पिता का नाम कर्ण सिंह यादव और माता का नाम संतरा देवी है। उनके पिता सैनिक थे इसलिये उनकि परवरिश शौर्य के किस्से सुनकर हुआ था और वे भी 18 साल के उम्र में ही भारतीय सेना में भर्ती हो गए। भारतीये सेना मे शामिल होने के बाद 19 साल की उम्र उनकी शादी रीना यादव से हुई। शादी के बाद से उनकी जिंदगी चुनौतियों से भरी हो गई। शादी की छुट्टियों के बाद योगेंद्र जब ड्यूटी पर लौटे तो जिंदगी की सबसे बड़ी चनौती उनका इंतजार कर रही थी। ―One such warrior of the Indian Army who was awarded the Param Vir Chakra at the age of just 19…. पिता भी रह चुके है सैनिक

 

दुश्मनों के छक्के छुड़ाने वाले परमवीर योगेंद्र सिंह यादव के पिता भी भारतीये सेना में सैनिक रह चुके हैं। इसके अलावे उनके पिता 1965 और 1971 के भारत-पाक युद्ध का भी हिस्सा रह चुके हैं।

15 गोलियां लगने के बाद भी हिम्मत नहीं हारे

 

योगेंद्र सिंह यादव ने कारगिल युध्द के घटना का जिक्र करते हुए बताया कि युध्द के दौरान 35 पाकिस्तानी सैनिको ने उन पर हमला कर दिया और उन्हें हर तरफ से घेर लिया। उनके साथ उनके समुह के सभी छह साथी वीर गती को प्राप्त हुए। रणभूमि मे चारो तरफ दोनो पक्षो के सेनाओ कि लाशो कि ढेर लगी थी। इनके साथी सैनिक मारे जाने के बाद उनके पैर, बाँह और शरीर के अन्य हिस्सों में में पाकिस्तानी सैनिको द्वारा 15 गोलियाँ लगीं थी जिससे ये पूरी तरह घायल हो गये थे।

युध्द के दौरान अचेत हुए योगेंद्र सिंह यादव ने अपनी हिम्मत जुटा कर अपना ग्रेनेड निकालते हुए उसका पिन हटाया और पाकिस्तानी सैनिकों पर फेंक दिया। जिससे एक पाकिस्तानी सैनिक के हेलमेट पर ग्रेनेट गिरा और उसके चिथड़े उड़ गए। उसके बाद उन्होंने युद्ध के दौरान दुसरे का गिरा हुआ रायफल उठा करके पाकिस्तानी सैनिक पर गोली चला दी जिससे पाँच पाकिस्तानी सैनिक मारे गए। इसके बाद उन्होने एक बहते नाला मे छलांग लगा दिया, जिसके कारण वो पाँच मिनट में करीब 400 मीटर बह करके चले गए। बाद मे उन्हें भारतीय सैनिकों ने नाले से निकाला। ―One such warrior of the Indian Army who was awarded the Param Vir Chakra at the age of just 19…. मात्र 19 वर्ष की आयु में ‘परमवीर चक्र’ प्राप्त किया

 

युध्द के दौरान दुश्मनो पर ग्रेनेट्ट फेंकने वाले योगेंद्र सिंह यादव जो कि वर्तमान में सूबेदार मेजर हैं। उन्हें कारगिल युद्ध के दौरान 4 जुलाई 1999 की कार्रवाई के लिए उच्चतम भारतीय सैन्य सम्मान ‘परम वीर चक्र’ से सम्मानित किया गया। जिस समय वो ‘परम वीर चक्र’ से समान्नित हुए उस समय उनकी उम्र मात्र 19 साल थी। वे परमवीर चक्र प्राप्त करने वाले सभी योधाओ में से सबसे कम उम्र के ग्रेनेडियर थे।
