बिहार (Bihar) के रहने वाले 17 वर्षीय प्रेम कुमार (Prem Kumar) के पिता एक दिहाड़ी मजदूर हैं लेकिन उनका बेटा अपने मेहनत के बदौलत अब अमेरिका में पढ़ाई करेगा। जी हां, स्कॉलरशिप के लिए आयोजित होने वाले परीक्षा में प्रेम ने दुनिया भर में छठा स्थान प्राप्त किया है। जो वाकई में प्रेरणादाई है।

प्रेम पटना से सटे फुलवारी शरीफ के गोनपुर से ताल्लुक रखता है। उन्हे इस स्कॉलरशिप परीक्षा में अमेरिका के लाफायेटे कॉलेज से मेकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग करने के लिए ढाई करोड़ रुपये का स्कॉलरशिप मिला है।।

बता दें कि, यह स्कॉलरशिप लाफायेटे कॉलेज अमेरिका द्वारा मिली थी, जिसके लिए भारत से 6 नाम भेजे गए थे।

झोपड़ी में रहकर की थी शुरुआती पढ़ाई

प्रेम का परिवार फुलवारी शरीफ के गोनपुरा महादलित बस्ती में एक झोपड़ी में अपना गुजारा करता है। इन्होंने अपने शुरुआती पढ़ाई इसी झोपड़ी में रहकर की है। चूकि इनके पिता दिहाड़ी मजदूर का काम किया करते है और उनका वेतन उतना नहीं है कि वे एक अच्छा सा घर बना सके।

प्रेम ने बताई अपनी संघर्ष की कहानी

प्रेम ने मीडिया के सामने अपने संघर्ष की पूरी कहानी बताई। उन्होंने अपने कठिन परिश्रम तथा संघर्ष के बारे में बताया कि कैसे वो गरीबी में अपना पढ़ाई किया करते थे। पढ़ाई के अलावे जब भी किसी चीज में उन्हे हिस्सा लेने का मौका मिला तो उन्होंने जरूर लिया।

आज में समय में प्रेम के घर में खुशियों का माहौल है। रिश्तेदारों तथा पड़ोसियों की बधाई देने के लिए लंबी कतार लगी हुई है।
