ज्यादातर युवाओं का सपना होता है कि वे IT कंपनी में जॉब करे लेकिन सभी के लिए ये संभव नहीं होता। आज हम आपको एक ऐसे शख्स से रूबरू करवाएंगे, जिन्होंने IT कंपनी की नौकरी छोड़ खेती कर एक बेहतर किसान बनने की ठानी।
हैदराबाद (Hyderabad) के रामपुर गांव में रहनेवाले एक किसान के बेटे आर. नंदा किशोर रेड्डी (R. Nanda Kishore Reddy) ने मार्च 2020 में कोविड महामारी के वजह से लगे लॉकडाउन में IT कंपनी की 35 हजार की नौकरी छोड़ दी और घर आकर किसानी करने को ठानी।
उन्होंने अपने खेत में पालक की खेती करने का फैसला लिया और इस फैसले ने उन्हे आगे बढ़ने की राह दिखाई।
लॉकडाउन के दौरान हुई खेती करने का एहसास
किशोर (R. Nanda Kishore Reddy) ने बताया कि, कृषि हमारे लिए कितना जरूरी है, इसका एहसास मुझे देश में लगे लॉकडाउन के दौरान हुआ। लोग लॉकडाउन के दौरान अपने घरों में खाने का सामान खरीदकर स्टोर करने लगे। यह सब मंजर दिल को झकझोरने वाला था और उसी दौरान मैंने अपने पांव कृषि के तरफ बढ़ाया।
अपने पक्के इरादों के साथ किशोर (R. Nanda Kishore Reddy) ने एक एकड़ में फैले अपने पॉली हाउस और दो एकड़ की अन्य जमीन पर विदेशी खीरा और पालक उगाना (Spinach Farming) शुरू किया। आज उनकी वार्षिक उपज 30 टन है और उनकी प्रति माह की आमदनी 3.5 लाख रुपये हो गई है।
उन्होंने (R. Nanda Kishore Reddy) बताया कि, पालक (Spinach Farming), विदेशी खीरा और सहायक फसलें की खेती करने के लिए करीबन 5 लाख रुपये की लागत आती है। इन 5 लाख रुपए में मज़दूरों को दिए जाने वाला पैसा, उर्वरक, कीटनाशक और पॉली हाउस की मरम्मत पर होने वाला सभी खर्च शामिल है।
किशोर (R. Nanda Kishore Reddy) अपने खेतों में पालक और खीरे के अलावा साल के बाकी महीनों में शिमला मिर्च, हरी मिर्च और भिंडी की खेती करते हैं। वे ड्रिप इरिगेशन, नॉन रेसिड्युएल स्प्रे, रेज्ड बेड सिस्टम और ड्रिप फर्टिगेशन जैसे नए तकनीकों का उपयोग करके खेती करते है।
क्या है ड्रिप फर्टिगेशन?
उन्होंने (R. Nanda Kishore Reddy) बताया कि, “ड्रिप फर्टिगेशन में पानी के साथ उर्वरकों को मिलाकर, डिपर के जरिए बूंद-बूंद करके पौधों तक पहुंचाया जाता है। इसप्रकार पौधों की जड़ें पानी को धीरे-धीरे सोखती हैं और पानी के साथ उर्वरक भी सीधा जड़ों में समान रूप से पहुंचता रहता है। इस तकनीक के जरिए मिट्टी में उच्च पोषक तत्व बने रहते हैं तरह यह मिट्टी में लंबे समय तक नम रखती है, जिससे पानी की बचत होती है और मिट्टी की उर्वरक क्षमता को भी बढ़ाती है। इसमें फसलों की पैदावार भी बढ़ती है तथा मिट्टी का कटाव भी कम होता है।”
क्या है रेज्ड बेड सिस्टम?
किशोर ने बताया कि, “रेज्ड बेड सिस्टम में कृषि के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण तकनीक है। इस तकनीक के जरिए खेत में बुवाई के समय क्यारियां बनाई जाती हैं और इन्हीं के जरिए सिंचाई की जाती है। इस तकनीक की सहायता से पानी की बचत की जाती है। FAO (फूड एंड एग्रीकल्चर ऑर्गेनाइजेशन ऑफ यूनाइटेड नेशन्स) के अनुसार, रेज्ड बेड सिस्टम, जल उपयोग दक्षता को बढ़ाने वाली एक बेहतर सिंचाई प्रणाली है।”

किशोर और उनके पिता ने अपने खेती को बेहतर बनाने के लिए Deep Rooted.Co के साथ मिलकर काम किया। बता दें कि, Deep Rooted.Co एक एग्रीटेक फॉर्म-टू-होम स्टार्टअप है, जो पैकेज्ड और क्यूरेटेड फल और सब्जियां बेचता है। साथ ही साथ ये स्टार्टअप किसानों को प्रशिक्षण और तकनीकी सहायता भी प्रदान करता है, ताकि वे खेती से होने वाले लाभ को बढ़ा सकें।
