खेती के लिए सबसे जरूरी अच्छी जमीन, सिंचाई की प्रॉपर व्यवस्था और अन्य सुविधाओं की आवश्यकता होती है लेकिन क्या घर के छोटे से बगीचे, मेन गेट के पास बनी क्यारियों या छोटे से गमले में भी खेती हो सकती है?
अब रूफटॉप गार्डनिंग (Rooftop Gardening) यानी छत पर बागवानी बहुत आम बात हो गई है।
घर पर गमलों में उगाए अंगूर
आज हम केरल (Kerala) के तिरुअनंतपुरम के रहने वाले रिटायर्ड बैंक मैनेजर राजमोहन (Rajmohan) की बात करेंगे, जिन्होंने छत पर ही बागवानी करते हुए गमलों में ही अंगूर उगा डाले। रिपोर्ट के अनुसार राजमोहन को पहले खेती का कोई अनुभव नहीं था, लेकिन कुछ ही दिनों के प्रैक्टिस से वे फल की खेती करने लगे।
अब 200 ग्रो बैग में कर रहे है खेती
कुछ समय पहले तक धारणा थी कि अंगूर की खेती केवल पहाड़ी क्षेत्रों में ही की जा सकती है, लेकिन राजमोहन अपने घर की छत पर ग्रो बैग में अंगूर उगा कर इस धारणा को ही बदल दिए। 6 साल पहले साल 2015 में वह 20 ग्रो बैग से टेरेस गार्डनिंग का शुरुआत किए थे। अब वे अपने 1,250 वर्ग फुट की छत पर 200 ग्रो बैग में फल और सब्जियां उगा रहे हैं।
राजमोहन ग्रो बैग में उगाते हैं सब सब्जियां
टमाटर, ककड़ी, कद्दू जैसी सब्जियों से खेती की शुरूआत करने वाले राजमोहन अब अंगूर, कस्तूरी हल्दी, बुश पैपर, मूंगफली, बैंगन, पालक, चिचिंडा, धनिया, मिर्च, गोभी, फूलगोभी, करेला, अदरक, हल्दी, सेम, कुंदरू, बेर, एप्पल, कृष्णा फल, कागजी नींबू, पपीता, केला, शहतूत, स्ट्रॉबेरी (Strawberry Farming), रतालू और मक्का अपने छत पर उगा रहे है।
2 लाख रुपये की लागत से किए रूफटॉप गार्डन की शुरूआत
रूफटॉप गार्डन की शुरूआत करने के लिए एक साथ बहुत पैसों की जरूरत होती है। राजमोहन ने 2 लाख रुपये की लागत से रूफटॉप गार्डन का शुरूआत किए थे। इसमें उगाए गए फल और सब्जियां ताजा रहते है। राजमोहन इसकी शुरूआत करने से पहले प्लास्टिक की चादरें खरीदकर पूरे छत पर बिछा दिया। उसके ऊपर ग्रो बैग को रखने के लिए मेटल स्टैंड और ईंट रखे।
किया गमले और बोरे का इस्तेमाल
राजमोहन छत पर जलजमाव से बचने के लिए गमले और बोरे का इस्तेमाल किया। कुछ समय बाद उन्होंने पूरी छत को एक शेड नेट से ढक दिया। इसे देख अक्सर उनके पड़ोसी इसके विषय में उनसे पूछते थे, लेकिन राजमोहन ने कभी किसी से कुछ नहीं कहा।
राजमोहन खेती के लिए किए मिट्टी तैयार
एक इंटरव्यू के दौरान राजमोहन ने बताया कि वह बहुत रिसर्च करने के बाद बाजार से एक महीने पुराने अंगूर के दो छोटे पौधे लाए और उनके लिए ग्रो बैग तैयार किया। इसके लिए उन्होंने मिट्टी को 10 दिनों के लिए धूप में रखा फिर उसमें चूने के पानी का छिड़काव करके उसे दो हफ्ते के लिए कपड़े से ढक कर छोड़ दिया। उसके बाद राजमोहन गाय के गोबर, नारियल की भूसी और वर्मीकम्पोस्ट को बराबर भागों में मिट्टी में मिला दिए।
9 महीने में पौधा कटाई के लिए हो गई तैयार
ग्रो बैग के तीन चौथाई हिस्से में मिट्टी भरने के बाद राजमोहन नर्सरी से लाए अंगूर के दोनों पौधे उसमें लगा दिए। जब अंगूर की बेलें थोड़ी बढ़ीं हुई तो उन्होंने दो स्वस्थ बेलों को बांस-बत्ती का सहारा दिया और बाकी बेलों की छंटाई कर दी। 9 महीने में पौधा कटाई के लिए तैयार हो गया। राजमोहन के अनुसार साल में 3 बार इन बेलों में फल लगते हैं।
कीड़ों से बचाने के लिए करे नीम के तेल का स्प्रे
राजमोहन कहते है कि मौसम के अनुसार अंगूर की बेलों पर दिन में एक से तीन बार पानी देना चाहिए। पौधों को कीड़ों से बचाने के लिए बर्ड्स आई चिली और लहसुन या चावल के पानी से बने जैविक खाद का प्रयोग कर सकते है। इसके अलावा कीड़ों को खत्म करने के लिए नीम के तेल का स्प्रे भी कर सकते है।
राजमोहन स्पेशल खाद का करते है प्रयोग
राजमोहन अपने पौधों के लिए स्पेशल खाद के तौर पर पशु की हड्डी का पाउडर, नीमखली, जैविक खाद और मूंगफली की खली का इस्तेमाल करते हैं। राजमोहन अपने पड़ोसियों को भी अपनी फल-सब्जियां और उनके बीज बांटते हैं। इसके अलावा राजमोहन टेरेस गार्डनिंग के विषय में लोगों को जानकारी भी देते है। – Rajmohan grows grapes in a grow bag
