बुढ़ापा मनुष्य जीवन का एक कड़वा सच है जिसका सामना हर इन्सान को करना ही पड़ता है। लेकिन हममें से कोई भी बुढ़ा होना नहीं चाहता है, सभी चाहते हैं कि ऐसे ही चुस्त-दुरुस्त रहें। लेकिन क्या आप जानते हैं मनुष्य बूढ़ा क्यों होता हैं? शरीर में ऐसा क्या परिवर्तन होता है जिससे शरीर बूढ़ा होने लगता है। ऐसे में आइए जानते क्या है इसके पीछे की वजह?

 

हालांकि हम बूढ़े क्यों होते हैं इसको सही तरह से परिभाषित करना मुश्किल है, लेकिन वैज्ञानिकों के अनुसार जब इंसानी शरीर बाहरी तत्वों, धूल-मिट्टी, प्रदूषण आदि के संपर्क में आता है तो शरीर की बनावट में गिरावट आने लगती है। इसके अलावा वैज्ञानिकों ने कुछ ऐसे तथ्य उजागर किए हैं जो मनुष्य शरीर को बूढ़ा बनाने के कारक है।

1 माइटोकॉन्ड्रिया

इसे शरीर का पावर हाउस कहा जाता है क्योंकि यह अपने साथ-साथ बाकी कोशिकाओं की क्रिया को भी नियंत्रित करता है। यदि शरीर के माइटोकॉन्ड्रिया में गिरावट होगी तो शरीर के कई कार्यों में कमी होने लगती है।

 

2 टेलीमियर में गिरावट

 

शरीर में नई कोशिकाओं के बनने से शरीर नया सा रहता है, लेकिन इन कोशिकाओं को सुरक्षित अलग करने में क्रोमोसोम का बहुत बड़ा योगदान होता है। जानकारी के लिए बता दें कि डीएनए के भीतर पाए जाने वाले क्रोमोसोम के सिरे पर टेलीमियर का सुरक्षा कवच लगा रहता है। ऐसे में कोशिका के लगातार विभाजन से टेलीमियर की मात्रा कम होने लगती है, जिससे शरीर बूढ़ा होने लगता है।

टेलीमियर की मात्रा कम होने के कारण कोशिकाएं रिपलिकेट होकर नई बनती है लेकिन हाल के हाल ही वह नष्ट भी हो जाती है। परिणामत: स्किन पर झुर्रिया आना, बाल झड़ना, कम दिखाई और सुनाई देना जल समस्या होने लगती है।
