शशांक मिश्रा (Shashank Mishra) उत्तर प्रदेश (Uttar Pradesh) के मेरठ (Meerut) से नाता रखते हैं। उन्होंने विषम परिस्थितियों का सामना कर अपने सपने को पूरा किया है। उनके पिता कृषि विभाग में डिप्टी कमिश्नर का कार्यभार सम्भालते थे। उनके घर में सदस्यों के तौर पर 3 भाई, 1 बहन और उनके पैरेंट्स हैं। (UPSC Topper)

जब शशांक मिश्रा (Shashank Mishra) के पिता का निधन हो गया, तब घर की सारी जिम्मेदारियां शशांक के ऊपर आ गई। हालांकि शशांक ने जिम्मेदारियों को पूरा भी किया। वह विषम परिस्थितियों का सामना करते हुए, आईआईटी की प्रवेश परीक्षा में 137वीं रैंक हासिल कर सफलता प्राप्त किए और आगे उन्होंने इंजीनियरिंग से बीटेक पूरा किया। (UPSC Topper)

छोड़ा अपनी जॉब

शशांक मिश्रा (Shashank Mishra) की एक अच्छी खासी मल्टीनेशनल कंपनी में नौकरी लगी और वह अपनी जिम्मेदारियों को निभाने लगे, लेकिन अब उनका ध्यान सिविल सर्विस में चला गया और उन्होंने इस जॉब को छोड़ने का फैसला लिया। वर्ष 2004 में उन्होंने अपने इस जॉब को छोड़ दिल्ली की तरफ रुख मोड़ा और यहां आकर यूपीएससी UPSC की तैयारी में लग गए। हालांकि दिल्ली जैसे शहर में उन्हें गुजारा करने के लिए बहुत ही दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ा। (UPSC Topper)

किया ट्रेन में पढ़ाई-लिखाई

जिस कारण वह प्रतिदिन मेरठ से दिल्ली की यात्रा तय करने लगे। ट्रेन में वह वक़्त को ध्यान में रखते हुए पढ़ाई किया करते थे। कभी-कभी उन्हें पैसे की कमी के वजह से बिना खाए ही घर आना पड़ता था, फिर भी उन्होंने हार नहीं मानी और अपने प्रयास को जारी रखा। (UPSC Topper)

आखिरकार मिली सफलता

शशांक मिश्रा (Shashank Mishra) को परिश्रम का फल प्रथम प्रयास में ही मिल गया। उन्होंने पहली बार यूपीएससी UPSC को पास किया और वह एलाइड सर्विसेज में सिलेक्ट हुए। वर्ष 2007 में उन्होंने पुनः यूपीएससी की परीक्षा दी और इसमें पांचवी स्थान प्राप्त करें आईएएस ऑफिसर बने। (UPSC Topper)
