आज के समय मे अन्न दान महा दान माना जाता है क्योंकि, आज भी बहुत ऐसे इंसान है जो भूखे सो जाते हैं बहुत सारे कारण की वजह से। किसी के पास पैसे नहीं होते है या किसी के पास पैसे होते हुए भी किसी ऐसी जहग पे फस जाते है कि, वहाँ उन्हें भूखे रहना पड़ता हैं। परन्तु आज भी ऐसे बहुत से लोग है जो पैसे से अधिक इंसानियत को महत्व देते हैं और दूसरों की मदद करते है बिना किसी शर्त के।

उन्ही में से एक है सिख समुदाय जो विश्वभर में अपने सेवाभाव वाले व्यव्हार के लिए जाने जाते है। क्योंकि किसी को भी मदद की जरूरत होने पर सिख समुदाय के लोग पीछे नही हटते हैं।

सैकड़ो पैकेट भोजन दिया:-

डोवर का बॉर्डर बंद होने के कारण सैकड़ो ट्रक ड्राइवर वहाँ फसे हुए थे।उन ट्रक ड्राइवर को तो इतना भी नही पता था कि वो कब वहाँ से आगे बढ़ पाएंगे।क्योंकि वो एक ही जगह बहुत दिन से फसे थे।और भूक प्यास से बेचैन भी थे।

तब यूके केंट के सिख समुदाय के लोगों ने इंसानियत दिखाते हुए बॉर्डर पर फसी लॉरी ड्राइवर्स के लिए सैकड़ो पैकेट भोजन करके पहुँचा दिया।सिख समुदाय ने 800 पैकेट खाना सिर्फ 3 घंटे के अंदर तैयार किया।उसके बाद सारे लॉरी ड्राइवर्स को बाट दिया।

जगदेव सिंह वर्दी जो कि गुरु नानक दरबार के प्रवक्ता है।उन्होंने केंट से बात करते हुए बताया कि खालसा के लोगो ने करीब 12.30बजे उनसे संपर्क किया उसके बाद 2.30 बजे खाना कलेक्ट कर लिया गया।

जगदेव सिंह का कहना है कि वो पहले से लंगर चला रहे थे इसलिए उन्हें कुछ वोलेंटियर्स को फ़ोन करना पड़ा।साथ ही केंट कंट्री कॉउन्सिल अथॉरिटी के प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि ‘केंट रेसिलियंस फोरम एजेंसी की मदद से हम सोमवार से स्नैक्स और पीने का पानी ड्राइवर को देने में उपलब्ध है।इसलिये उन्होंने लोगो से अपील की है कि वो केंट की तरफ से न जाये’।
