अगर यूपीएससी की तैयारी की बात करे तो कुछ ऐसे भी उदाहरण हमलोगों ने देखा होगा, जिसमे लोग अपनी अच्छी- खासी नौकरी और पेशा को छोड़ कर यूपीएससी की तैयारी करना शुरु कर देते हैं। ऐसे ही लोगों में से आज हम बात करेंगे एक महिला की, जिन्होंने डॉक्टर की नौकरी छोड़ कर यूपीएससी की तैयारी करना शुरु किया और अपने पहले हीं प्रयास में सफल भी हुई।
कौन है वह महिला?
हम रेणु राज (IAS Renu Raj) की बात कर रहे हैं, जो मूल रूप से केरल (Kerala) की कोट्टायम की रहने वाली हैं। वे एक मिडिल क्लास परिवार से ताल्लुक रखती हैं। उनके पिता सरकारी नौकरी में कार्यरत थे और इनकी माँ हाउसवाइफ हैं।
उन्होंने (IAS Renu Raj) अपनी पढ़ाई केरल के कोट्टायम के सेंट टेरेसा हायर सेकेंडरी स्कूल से पूरी की तथा इसके बाद उन्होंने कोट्टायम के सरकारी कॉलेज से मेडिकल की पढाई किया था।
डॉक्टर की नौकरी छोड़ की यूपीएससी की तैयारी
रेणु (IAS Renu Raj) ने डॉक्टर की पढाई पूरी करने के बाद केरल के एक अस्पताल में हीं डॉक्टर के तौर पर काम किया। नौकरी के दौरान हीं उनके मन में UPSC की तैयारी करने का ख्याल आया। उनका ख्याल था कि वे सिविल सेवा के माध्यम से ज्यादा से ज्यादा लोगों की सेवा करे। इसके लिए उन्होंने अपनी डॉक्टर की नौकरी छोड़ कर यूपीएससी की तैयारी करना शुरू कर दिया।
इंटरनेट और कोचिंग के सहारे की तैयारी
डॉ रेणु राज (IAS Renu Raj) ने साल 2013 में हीं यूपीएससी परीक्षा की तैयारी शुरू कर दी थी। वो हर रोज 3 से 6 घंटे की पढ़ाई किया करती थी। यूपीएससी की प्री और मेंस की परीक्षा की तैयारी उन्होंने एक साथ ही किया था। तैयारी के दौरान वे करंट अफेयर्स के लिए रोजाना अखबार पढ़ा करती थी, इसके अलावे उन्होंने कई मॉक टेस्ट भी दिया और राइटिंग प्रैक्टिस भी की। इन सभी तरह के तैयारियों के साथ हीं साथ उन्होंने एनसीईआरटी की किताबें, करंट अफेयर्स, मैगजीन, साइंस टेक्नोलॉजी से जुड़ी हुई सभी किताबों से भी पढ़ाई किया। इसके अलावें उन्होंने इंटरनेट और कोचिंग का सहारा लेकर भी अपनी तैयारी पूरी की।
पहले प्रयास में मिली सफलता
एक सर्जन के तौर पर काम करने वाली रेणु राज (IAS Renu Raj) वर्ष 2013 में अपने प्रैक्टिकस के साथ हीं साथ यूपीएससी की तैयारी करने लगी। वे बताती है कि, नौकरी के दौरान वे पूरी अच्छे तरीके से यूपीएससी की तैयारी नहीं कर पाती थी, जिसके कारण उन्हें नौकरी छोड़ना पड़ा और तब पूरे मन से यूपीएससी की तैयारी करने लगी। उन्होंने अपने मेहनत और संघर्ष के बदौलत पहले हीं प्रयास में दूसरी (2nd) रैंक के साथ सफलता हासिल करते हुए अपना आईएएस बनने का सपना साकार किया।
