एम. टेक करने के बाद की कनाडा में नौकरी
20 सितंबर साल 1988 को पूजा का जन्म हरियाणा के एक साधारण से परिवार में हुआ। शुरुआती पढ़ाई यहीं से पूरी करने के बाद उन्होंने बायोटेक्नोलॉजी एंड फूड टेक्नोलॉजी में एमटेक (M.Tech in Biotechnology and Food Technology) किया। एम. टेक करने के बाद पूजा की नौकरी कनाडा में लग गई।
देश के लिए यूपीएससी एग्जाम देने का फैसला
कुछ सालों तक कनाडा में नौकरी करने के बाद वह जर्मनी चली गईं। इस दौरान पूजा को अहसास हुआ कि वह भारत के विकास में योगदान देने के बजाय किसी दूसरे देश के विकास के लिए काम कर रही हैं। यही सोच उन्होंने नौकरी छोड़ दी और यूपीएससी एग्जाम देने का फैसला कर लिया। यह फैसला लेना पूजा के लिए आसान नहीं था क्योंकि उनके परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति अच्छी नहीं थी। – Success story of IPS Pooja Yadav from Haryana.
दूसरे प्रयास में मिली सफलता
पूजा की कभी हार ना मानने की जिद ने उनके हर रास्ते को आसान कर दिया। पूजा को अपने पहले प्रयास में सफलता नहीं मिली, परंतु दूसरे प्रयास में उन्हें सफलता मिली। वे 2018 कैडर की आईपीएस नियुक्त की गईं। पूजा को उनके परिवार ने हमेशा सपोर्ट किया, लेकिन परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति अच्छी ना होने के वजह से पूजा एमटेक और यूपीएससी परीक्षा की तैयार के दौरान पैसे के लिए कई तरह के काम किए। जैसे कभी बच्चों को ट्यूशन दिया, तो कभी रिसेप्शनिस्ट का काम किया।
आईएएस विकल्प भारद्वाज से की शादी
इसी साल 18 फरवरी को पूजा यादव (Pooja Yadav) ने आईएएस विकल्प भारद्वाज (Vikalp Bharadwaj) से शादी कर ली। इन दोनों की मुलाकात मसूरी में लाल बहादुर शास्त्री राष्ट्रीय प्रशासन अकादमी में हुई थी। विकल्प साल 2016 बैच के केरल कैडर के अधिकारी है, लेकिन शादी के बाद वह गुजरात कैडर में ट्रांसफर का अनुरोध किए है।
