भारतीय लोकतांत्रिक व्‍यवस्‍था की एक खास खूबसूरती है कि यह समाज के हर तबके के लोगों को नेतृत्व करने का अवसर देता है। पहले हमारे यहाँ महिलाओं के प्रति पर्दा प्रथा थी, जिसके तहत महिलाओं को पर्दे में ही रखने की समाजिक प्रथा थी। अब ऐसी विचार रखने वाले लोगों के विपरीत सरकार ने अब ऐसी व्यवस्था की है कि, महिलाओं को अब हर तरह के नौकरी पैसे तथा चुनाव में भी भागीदारी होगी। इस प्रथा को खत्म करते हुए सरकार ने इसे खत्म करने के लिए महिला सशक्तिकरण का नारा बुलंद करने का काम किया है। आज हम बात करेंगे उत्तर प्रदेश के रहने वाली एक महिला के बारे में जिसके पति ब्लाॅक में सफाई कर्मचारी है और आज के समय में वह महिला उसी ब्लाॅक की ब्लाॅक प्रमुख (Block Pramukh) बनी है जिसमें उसके पति सफाई कर्मचारी का काम करते हैं।

हम बात कर रहे हैं उतर प्रदेश (Uttar Pradesh) के सहारनपुर (Saharanpur) जिले के नल्हेडा गुर्जर (Nalheda Gurjar) निवासी सोनिया (Soniya) की जो हाल ही में अपने गाँव के ब्लाॅक की प्रमुख बनी हैं। इनकी उम्र मात्र 26 साल है। सोनिया के पति सुनील कुमार (Sunil Kumar) विकासखंड बलियाखेड़ी (Block Baliakhedi) में सफाई कर्मचारी के पद पर अपने ही गांव में कार्यरत हैं। सोनिया भारतीय जनता पार्टी के टिकट पर चुनाव लड़कर पंचायत समिति के पद के लिए निर्वाचित हुई है। प्रमुख बनी सोनिया की चर्चा जोरो पर इसलिए है क्यूंकि उनके पति एक सफाई कर्मचारी के रूप में पहले से ही उसी ब्लाॅक में कार्यरत है जहाँ की वह प्रमुख चुनी गई हैं। ―The wife became the block head in the same block where the husband works as a sweeper.

पंचायत समिति (बीडीसी) चुनाव जितने के बाद बनी ब्लाॅक प्रमुख

 

जिस ब्लॉक में सोनिया ब्लॉक प्रमुख बनी हैं उसी विकासखंड बलियाखेड़ी (Block Baliakhedi) में उनके पति सुनील कुमार (Sunil Kumar) सफाई कर्मचारी के रूप में काम करते हैं। उतर प्रदेश मे त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत चुनाव की घोषणा के बाद बीडीसी की सीट आरक्षण होने के कारण अनुसूचित जाति वर्ग में आरक्षित हो गई। इसके बाद अनुसूचित जाति से ताल्लुक रखने वाले सुनील ने बीडीसी पद के लिए वार्ड नंबर 55 से अपनी पत्नी सोनिया को चुनाव लड़ाया। जिसमें सोनिया ने जीत हासिल की। इसके बाद ब्लाॅक प्रमुख पद भी अनुसूचित जाति के लिए आरक्षित हुआ तो भाजपा नेता और जिला पंचायत सदस्य मुकेश चौधरी ने पढ़ी लिखी सोनिया को भाजपा की ओर से प्रमुख पद का प्रत्याशी बनवा दिया। नामांकन करने के साथ ही 26 वर्षीय सोनिया निर्विरोध ब्लाक प्रमुख निर्वाचित हो गईं। प्रमुख बनने के बाद सोनिया (Soniya) का कहना है कि ब्लॉक प्रमुख के नाते वह गांवों के विकास के लिए काम करेंगी तथा हमेशा विकास संबंधित सभी कार्यो के लिए तत्पर रहेंगी। ―The wife became the block head in the same block where the husband works as a sweeper.

प्रमुखी कोई स्थायी पद नहीं लेकिन पति की नौकरी 60 साल की

 

अनुसूचित जाति से ताल्लुक रखने वाले सोनिया ब्लाॅक प्रमुख बनने के बाद खुशी जाहिर करते हुए अपने क्षेत्र के विकास की बात कही साथ ही साथ अपने पति व उनके ब्लाॅक मे सफाई कर्मचारी के रूप में काम करने वाले सुनील कुमार के बारे में बात करते हुए सोनिया कहती हैं कि चुनाव में पति सुनील कुमार व परिवार का पुरा सहयोग रहा है। उनका कहना है कि ब्लाक प्रमुख के नाते वह गांवों के विकास के लिए काम करेंगी लेकिन घर तो पति की तनख्वाह से ही चलता है। उनके पति ने भी निर्णय लिया है कि वह नौकरी करते रहेंगे। सोनिया से जब भी उनके पति को एक सफाई कर्मचारी के रूप में काम करने के संदर्भ में कोई सवाल करता है तो उनका हमेशा एक ही जवाब रहता है कि प्रमुख तो मैं 5 सालो के लिए बनी हूं और पति की नौकरी पूरे 60 सालो की है लेकिन मैं अपना कर्तव्य पूरे लगन के साथ निभाऊंगी।
