“दीपों का त्योहार” अर्थात “दीपावली” को मनाने के पीछे का कारण हम सभी जानते हैं। वनवास से 14 वर्ष बाद भगवान राम के आगमन की खुशी में पूरे अयोध्या में घी के दीये जलाए गए थे और अयोध्या नगरी को दुल्हन की तरह सजा दिया गया था। तब से लेकर आजतक हम दिवाली का त्योहार बहुत ही धूमधाम से मनाते हैं।
दिवाली (Diwali) के दिन हम सभी अपने-अपने घरों को सजाने से पीछे नहीं हटते हैं। कुछ लोगों इस खुशी के मौके पर अपने घर में ग्रैंड सेलिब्रेशन करवाते हैं तो वहीं कुछ लोग सिम्पल और कम चीजों का प्रयोग कर अपने घर को सजाते हैं। इस दिन हम सभी अपने-अपने घरों में धन की देवी लक्ष्मी और पार्वती पुत्र श्री गणेश की पूजा करते हैं।
वैसे तो इस दिन प्रभु श्री राम अपनी पत्नी सीता, भाई लक्ष्मण और अपने प्रिय भक्त हनुमान के साथ अयोध्या वापस लौटे थे, लेकिन पूजा लक्ष्मी गणेश की होती है। ऐसे में हमारे मन अक्सर यह सवाल उठता है कि जब दिवाली भगवान राम का त्योहार है तो इस दिन पूजा लक्ष्मी-गणेश की क्यों होती है? ऐसा सवाल आपके मन में भी आता है तो आज आपको इसका उत्तर इस लेख में मिल जाएगा।
क्यों की जाती है दिवाली के दिन लक्ष्मी-गणेश की पूजा?
दरअसल कहा जाता है कि हजारों वर्ष तक राक्षसों और देवताओं के बीच समुद्र मंथन चला था। उस मंथन के दौरान ही कृष्ण पक्ष के अमावस्या के दिन मां लक्ष्मी का जन्म हुआ, जिससे देवता पहले से अधिक शक्तिशाली हो गए। मंथन से निकली धन की देवी लक्ष्मी के आगे सभी देवता हाथ जोड़कर उनकी आराधना करने लगे। यही वजह है कि कार्तिक आमावस्या के दिन मां लक्ष्मी की पूजा की जाती है।
मां लक्ष्मीजी की आराधना के दौरान किसी प्रकार की कोई त्रुटी न हो। इसलिए उनके साथ भगवान गणेश और सरस्वती जी की पूजा की जाती है, ताकि लक्ष्मीजी के साथ-साथ विद्या और बुद्धि भी प्राप्त हो सकें।
यही कारण है कि दीपों का पर्व (Festival of lights) दीपावली के दिन मां लक्ष्मी और बुद्धि के देवता श्री गणेश की पूजा की जाती है।
