प्रकाश गुजरात के सूरत के वाडिया गांव के निवासी है। और किसानी करते है, प्रकाश भाई की खास बात ये है कि वो जैविक तरीके से खेती करते है। प्रकाश अपने 4 बीघा जमीन में जैविक तरीके से कई किस्म की सब्जियां उपजाते है जैसे- भिंडी, प्याज, मिर्च ,बैगन और भी बहुत कुछ। प्रकाश का कहना है कि जैविक खेती से आपको हमेशा लाभ ही प्राप्त होगा क्योंकि जैविक खेती करने से आपका उत्पादन भी अधिक होगा और मिट्टी पर भी बुरा असर नही पड़ता है।
जैविक खाद का इस्तेमाल-
प्रकाश बताते है कि उन्होंने जैविक तरीके से भिंडी उपजाई अपने खेतों में और उन्होंने अपने खेतों में जैविक खाद का ही इस्तेमाल किया जैसे गोमूत्र, गाय का गोबर, इससे प्रकाश को ये लाभ हुआ कि भिंडी कम समय मे तैयार हो गयी और इसका स्वाद भी बहुत अच्छा था, इसके साथ ही साथ प्रकाश को अपनी जैविक सब्जी का मूल्य भी बाजार में अधिक मिला।
कम लागत में करे जैविक खेती-
प्रकाश का कहना है की जैविक खेती में आपकी लागत कम लगती है और मुनाफा अधिक होता है, अपने पहले अनुभव को बताते हुए प्रकाश कहते है कि पहले उन्हें केमिकल वाले खाद खरीदने में 7 हज़ार के लगभग खर्च आता था परन्तु जैविक खेती में वो खर्च सिर्फ 2 से 3 हज़ार रुपये ही आते है। इसलिए प्रकाश ने जैविक खेती को चुना और जीरो बजट फार्मिंग करने की तरह अग्रसर हुए।
लगभग एक साल से प्रकाश जैविक खेती कर रहे है, परन्तु जैविक खेती शुरू करने से पहले प्रकाश ने पहले जैविक खेती कैसे करे उसका प्रशिक्षण लिया। उसके बाद उन्होंने अपने गांव के ही एक गौशाला से गाय का गोबर और गौमूत्र लेने लगे अपने खेतों में इस्तेमाल करने के लिए, जिससे उनकी उपज बढ़े।
दूसरे किसानों को भी कर रहे है जागरूक-
जैविक खेती करते करते प्रकाश ने 2 गाय भी खरीद ली, और अब प्रकाश खुद ही अपने घर पर जीवामीरत जैसी दवाईया बनाते है और अपने खेतो में इस्तेमाल करते है, इसके साथ ही साथ प्रकाश बाकी किसानों को भी जैविक खेती की जानकारी दे रहे है और उन्हें जागरूक भी कर रहे है, जैविक खेती करने के लिए। बहुत सारे किसान प्रकाश से प्रेरित हो कर जैविक खेती कर रहे है और अधिक लाभ प्राप्त कर रहे है।
