भारत में प्रदूषण आज के समय में सभी लिए एक चुनौती बनी है। हम जानते हैं कि अशुद्ध वातावरण हमारे लिए कितना हानिकारक है। आज हम बात करेंगे मध्यप्रदेश (Madhya Pradesh) के इंदौर (Indore) शहर में वार्ड नंबर 73 की, जो सुखे तथा गीले कचरो का सही उपयोग करके देश का पहला जीरो वेस्ट वार्ड बन गया है।
इस वार्ड में इंदौर के 4400 से अधिक घर है, जिसमे से 600 ऐसे घर हैं, जहाँ गीले कचरे से खाद बन रहा है, तो सूखा कचरा कमाई का साधन बन रहा है।

प्रदूषण के निपटारे के लिए अपनाया गया यह तरीका

हमारे देश में प्रदूषण इतना हो गया है कि आए दिन तरह तरह के बीमारियों का खतरा बढ़ रहा है। इससे निपटारे के लिए इंदौर की प्रशासन ने एक तरीका अपनाया है, जिससे कचरे को रिसाइकिल किया जाए और वातावरण को स्वच्छ बनाया जाए।

स्वच्छता के लिए शुरू किया गया एक प्रोजेक्ट

देश में प्रदूषण हटाकर स्वच्छता लाने के लिए एक प्रोजेक्ट को शुरू किया गया, जिसका उद्देश्य यह है कि वार्ड को स्वच्छ और साफ-सुथरा रखा जाए तथा कचरे को रिसाइकल किया जाए। इसके लिए गीले तथा सूखे कचड़े को अलग-अलग रखा जाए। गीले कचरे से खाद बनाई जाए तथा सूखे को कमाई का साधन बनाया जाए।

किसका है प्रोजेक्ट में सबसे बड़ा योगदान?

स्वच्छता के लिए शुरू किए गए इस प्रोजेक्ट में सबसे बड़ा योगदान श्रीगोपाल जगताप का है, जो बेसिक्स नाम के एक गैर सरकारी संस्था को चलाते हैं।

श्रीगोपाल जगताप बताते हैं कि, “पिछले 5 वर्षों से हम इंदौर नगर निगम के साथ मिलकर स्वच्छता संबंधी अभियानों में काम कर रहे हैं। स्वच्छता को लेकर जागरूकता के लिए कुछ महीने पहले यहाँ की नई आयुक्त प्रतिभा पाल जी ने जीरो वेस्ट वार्ड बनाने की इच्छा जताई, जो कि समाज के सामने एक उदाहरण पेश करे।”

जिसके बाद जुलाई 2020 में इस प्रोजेक्ट को शुरू किया और इसके लिए जिलें के अलग-अलग क्षेत्रों पाँच वार्डों को चयनित किया गया – वार्ड 73, 32, 47, 66 और 41

सुखा कचरा से हो रही अच्छी कमाई

अगर हम सूखे कचरे की बात करे तो प्लास्टिक, सेनेटरी नैपकिन को रीसायकल करने के लिए खरीदा जाता है। इसके लिए निगम ने बोरे दिए हुए हैं। सप्ताह में दो दिन एनजीओ की गाड़ी आती है और तौलकर कचरा लेती है। इसकी इंट्री के लिए एक कार्ड भी दिया है। महीने के आखिरी में ढाई रुपए किलो के हिसाब से पैसे दिए जाते हैं।

गीले कचरे से हो रहे खाद तैयार

तीन महीने से वार्ड के लोग अपने घरों में ही फल, सब्जियों आदि के गीले कचरे से खाद बना रहे हैं। इसको भी बेचकर आसानी से पैसा कमाया जाता है।

आखिर कैसे बनता है खाद

जगताप बताते हैं, दो कम्पोस्टिंग सेट है – टेराकोटा बिन और प्लास्टिक बिन। टेराकोटा बिन के बात करें तो इसके मिट्टी के तीन स्तर होते हैं, जिसमे कचरा डालने के बाद, बायो कल्चर दिया जाता है और फिर इसको ढंक दिया जाता है। यह प्रक्रिया हर दिन दोहराई जाती है।
वहीं हम प्लास्टिक बिन की बात करें तो, इसमें कचरा डालने के बाद, इसमें बायो कल्चर दिया जाता है तथा इसके नीचे एक नल लगा होता है, जिससे लिक्विड फर्टिलाइजर निकलता है।

दोनों प्रक्रियाओं मे खाद तैयार होने में करीब 45 दिन लगते हैं।

उन्होंने आगे बताया कि, यहां पर 140 से अधिक ऐसे अपार्टमेंट, जिसमे जगह की कमी की वजह से कंपोस्टिंग संभव नहीं है। जिसके लिए आईटी कंपनी इंसीनरेटर स्वाहा की टीम को हायर किया गया है, जो ओडब्ल्यूसी मशीन के जरिए तुरंत ही कचरे को खाद में बदल देती है।

कचरे को बागवानी में भी इस्तेमाल करने के लिए किया गया प्रेरित

इंदौर के चीफ सेनेटरी इंस्पेक्टर लोधी बताते हैं, आज के समय में कचड़े की समस्या आम है, इसलिए हमलोहों ने लोगों को कचड़े को बागवानी के लिए इस्तेमाल करने के लिए प्रेरित किया।

प्रत्येक दिन वार्ड 73 में करीब 8 टन कचरे का होता है उत्पादन

जगताप बताते हैं कि, प्रत्येक दिन वार्ड 73 में करीब 8 टन कचरे का उत्पादन होता है। जहां ऐसे कई घर हैं, जहाँ कचरा खुद से नहीं बनाए जाते। इसके लिए एक कम्पोस्टिंग यूनिट को बनाया है। इसके द्वारा बनाए गए खाद का इस्तेमाल सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर लगे पेड़-पौधों के लिए किया जाता है। वहीं, सूखे कचरे के लिए एक स्वच्छता केन्द्र बनाया है, जहाँ पर कुछ पैमाने पर प्लास्टिक को रीसायकल करने के लिए भेजा जाता है तथा अन्य उत्पादों को कई दूसरे संस्थाओं द्वारा खरीदा जाता है।
